Foreign Man Assaults Woman in Ramkhamhaeng Condo

Featured Replies

A 31-year-old woman has reported being violently assaulted and held against her will by a foreign man inside a condominium in Ramkhamhaeng 24, Bangkok, with the attack leaving her injured and traumatised. The victim, identified as Ms Pimphilail, gave further testimony to investigators at Hua Mak Police Station on 18 April 2026, seeking an update on the police case. She described being beaten, threatened with a knife and prevented from escaping over several hours.

The victim said she had known the suspect for four to five months through her work in the entertainment sector, where he had previously hired her on multiple occasions without showing violent behaviour. On 6 April 2026, he asked her to stay at the condominium and later invited her to travel to Pattaya. On the night of 9 April, they went drinking before returning to the room late at night.

She explained that she felt stressed and wanted to return home, and spoke to a friend by phone, which the suspect secretly recorded and translated. After realising she intended to leave, he became enraged. “He started attacking me around 5.30am and continued until 9am. I was punched, kicked and hit repeatedly with a lamp until there was blood all over the room. He also chased me with a knife and slashed at my finger,” she said.

The victim added that she was forced to kneel beside the bed for nearly an hour and was threatened to “cut off her own hand” if she wanted to leave. A friend of the suspect was reportedly present in another part of the room but did not intervene. She also believed the attacker was heavily under the influence of drugs, describing erratic and uncontrollable behaviour.

After the prolonged assault, the suspect reportedly regained composure, expressed remorse and took her to hospital before police were notified. However, the victim said she has not received adequate support, noting that the suspect offered only 10,000 baht in compensation, which does not cover medical costs including brain scans, X-rays and treatment.

She also raised concerns that despite reporting suspected drug use, no immediate testing was carried out, leaving her feeling unsafe and fearful of further harm. “My mental state is very bad. I cannot sleep or be alone. I feel like someone is following me all the time,” she said.

Police at Hua Mak reported they have coordinated with immigration authorities to place the suspect, whose name and nationality was withheld, under surveillance. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage, gathering further evidence and questioning witnesses, with reports indicating the suspect still remains in Thailand and has not attempted to flee.

Thaitabloid reported that authorities are preparing the evidence to summon the suspect to face charges and proceed with legal action. The victim has urged officials to expedite the case and provide urgent protection, citing ongoing fears for her safety.

The report says 'The victim said she had known the suspect for four to five months through her work in the entertainment sector, where he had previously hired her on multiple occasions'. This makes him a resident, not a tourist.

And as it appears drugs and or drink were involved I wonder what nationality this individual was

What if he'd come 4-5 months ago for a couple of weeks and hired her on multiple occassions, tourist or resident?

More likely a long-term resident than a tourist.

What are the charges? Not just assault. Also holding someone hostage basically. So much more serious jail time for that, I hope.

Even if this guy had previously hired her on multiple occasions, it doesn’t change the fact she alleges feeling scared and wanted to leave on this occasion!

That should have been a clue for the police she felt threatened. People don’t say that lightly!

The details she gave about being assaulted and unable to get away are serious, and her distress should have been treated as a clear warning sign.

The fact that the Hua Mak police are still preparing the evidence only adds to the sense that her claims have not been taken seriously enough.

Doesn’t it seem like it’s only always about money he probably gave her 20 she probably been happy who knows what it’s hard to believe a whole story and after reading it over one more time sounds like she works in the entertainment business we all know what that is here in Thailand there’s no prostitution allowed or at least only by Thai people TIT

Your post does not make sense buddy. If you come for 2 weeks you are fore sure a tourist. If 4 months or over i would say he will now be an expat

He could have gone home to his country and returned more than once in 4 months.

It doesn't sound like she works in the entertainment business, it's specifically states that she does. What she was apparently doing, I.e. visiting him, having sex with him and being paid for it, is allowed in Thailand. There are certain other aspects of prostitution relating to activities and locations that are not allowed but simply paying for, or being paid for, sex is not lilegal

Maybe he has a METV. Maybe he uses "safe entry". Parking his arse in Thailand for at least four to five months doesn't rule out being just another poorly trained tourist.

He needs to be charged with serious crimes. Not just detention and deportation.

We can only guess at nationality - but ruling out mental health issues of a Westerner if that is the case.. well.. In any case, Thai criminal justice needs to step forward - not just some police mediated financial settlement (that benefits them too).

What restrictions would that be?

What restrictions would that be? For all we know he could hold one of multible visa allowing multible entry and even on visa exemption he could comfortably [and fairly safe] had made 1-2 trips in 4 month. Anyway, thats not the point and if he did what accused of let's hope it was his last trip.

Absurd number of conditional 'maybe xyz'. I added the italics/color to indicate your post is some rife with conjecture. I would hate to have you on a jury if charged with some offense.

"Don't bother me with facts: I've already got my opinions"

A man who hits a woman or even raises his hand or makes a fist and then restrains himself is human garbage.

This guy needs to pay real compensation. Hospital bills, of course, but also lost wages.

Heavy assault charges, prison in Thailand, deported back to whatever <deleted>hole country he came from.

And whoever just watched as this was happening should also be charged for not intervening! What a POS!
