Place To Hang Out?

Featured Replies

Hey all,New to Phuket and would like to know if there is place for new daddy's and their babies to go and hang out. I have seen many new daddy's and since mine came, my life has turned from Double Johnny Black Labels starting at noon at the Green Man, to just sitting around staring at my little one. My wife says I need to get out more. I guess she is used to my long afternoons out of the house. If anyone would be interested, I would like to find out more about when and where. I spend most of my time at the pool here at L&H, where me and me 4 month old swim. I would like to make friends in this area of Thailand, but would prefer to keep it out of the bars.PM me if you'd like to join up for an afternoon.ThanksFrank

Shanti Lodge on the Chao Fah Nai road would be an excellent place to start. There is a pool and great food and you always meet people. The owner is an Aussie woman called Kim and children are always welcome - she has 4 of her own. Tell them I said Hi please

Sorry, but where is Choafa Nai? I am familiar with Choafa but not sure of the Nai? I am near Wat Thai. Thanks for the heads up.Maybe I will start a group. Daddy's can bring their babies, and we can discuss diaper brands, and football!ThanksFrankYou can't change the wind, but you can adjust your sails.

Here's a map of Shanti Lodge.

Give Friendship Beach a try on weekends there's a family-ish crowd there and a pretty pool + bar + restaurant.

You can also try and introduce baby to watching 'Baby Einstein' vcds/ dvds. I got them online but perhaps Central sell them. It's a home-bound activity but works wonders (for me anyway!).

i agree with the friendship beach suggestion. usually kids there on sunday afternoons and the crowd is nice people too. not to mention that they have probably the best burgers on the island.
