Hello

I'm travelling to Thailand (Bangkok) at the end September and leave from Singapore 104 days later. I want to stay in Thailand for the longest time possible what visa can i get?. Also if I have to leave Thailand to refresh my visa where is best to do that?. (which border crossings & how.... just looking for ideas and suggestions).

Thanks!

You could get a double entry tourist visa, which is good for 2 times 60 days into the country, you have to leave the country before the first 60 days are over. Any border will do, but of course distance and visa play a role. You don't state nationality or where you will be staying, but Malaysia offers many nationalities visa free access. Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar don't. You could also extend your visa with another 30 days twice, but this will cost 1900 baht each extension, since you only plan on staying 104 days, a double entry visa (around 60 euro) will be the cheapest option.

Edit: Laos charges around 35 USD for a visa on arrival (but this is again depended on nationality), Cambodia is 20 USD.

From BKK you would probably want to do a visa run across the Cambodia border, lots of arranged trips available.

Just arrange your double entry visa for now, no need to start to organize visa run yet.

Naka.
