Cycling in 300 aqi is not fun.

Weather was perfect for cycling this morning.

Had coffee with a pal at a mountaintop coffee shop.

Stopped to look at the cows/birds/buffaloes on the way back.

Life doesn't get much better IMHO.

Nope - it was a tasteless and insulting comment intended to make yourself feel better, and trying to claim it was a joke is a poor attempt at recovery. Try an apology to the many people on AN with

You don't sound rich.

OP: you started this story with deep concern for the 8 year old son of hers.

Now on 2'nd page you seem to forget what was previously the most important for you.

Now you pour out alot more about your unhealthy "on-off" relationship. Sometime you say you not care about sex. Later you talk about sex more than expected for a man who seemingly cared so much about the 8 y.o. in your opening post

Bottom line, what's the point of your story?

I smell swiss cheese.

How did you shift a discussion about substance abuse to focus on the lifestyle of the rich and famous?

You don't sound rich or happy.

I have all I need (or want).

Buffalo perving and cycling. Sounds limited.

You don't sound right in the head with an unsubstantiated comment like that abbot someone you do not know, as usual!

Haven't read the whole lot and I could be wrong but are you an Aussie who posted about similar problems - the child not being treated well and living in dirty conditions etc - some years ago. Something about you had some issue too when he only wanted a small portion at a restaurant or something. Even back then the issues had been going on for a long time. If yes then it indicates this is an ongoing issue and absolutely well over the time to move on. If it's not you then this post is not helpful.

Why do you come here, if all you want to do is trash other foreigners?

I really don’t get how some people manage to make such a mess of their own lives. It’s like they actually need the chaos to feel alive. There has to be a name for that kind of sickness.

Mine was on 10-15 a day when I married her.

She grew out of it.

I used to go to Thai night clubs, they were all taking it (yaba/yaIce), the serving girls, the girls out for the night, the dancers, university students, the village people. Back in the UK clubs, works parties, more molly and coke. Drugs are everywhere, it's entirely normal to take them.

20% take them

I’ve been in a relationship with my partner for 12 years and living half the year on average here in NongKhai, but this year the mask finally slipped. For a long time, I struggled to understand why she was constantly broke. I provide a 10,000 THB monthly salary for the household, and she has additional income from a factory job and a rubber plantation. Yet, every month, the money vanished within days.

I eventually gained access to her phone and used AI to help me decipher the local Thai slang and transaction history. What I found was a "dirty scene" of illicit substance transactions. The evidence is in the bank transfers: consistent payments of 400 and 800 baht to individuals known in the community for dealing. In this part of Thailand, where pills are cheap, these specific amounts suggest she isn't just a casual user; she’s buying in quantities (10–20 pills at a time) that indicate a heavy, daily addiction.

The behavior matches the "Yaba cycle"—extreme mood swings, narcissistic deflection whenever I ask a direct question, and strange excuses for disappearing to "the farm" for hours. When I confronted her with the screenshots and the receipts, she didn't deny it—she just tried to turn the argument back on me. Between the financial drain and a recent health scare (an STI she likely contracted through the high-risk circles she's frequenting), the reality is clear. My support isn't going toward our future; it’s funding a Yaba habit that she refuses to acknowledge. I’m looking for advice from anyone who has navigated the legal and personal fallout of drug addiction in a long-term relationship here.

1 drugs

2 cheats on you

3 wastes money

Not rocket science! She's a mole.

Tablets are only 10-20bht each, and 10-20 a day isn't an excessive number for frequent users to take.

If she's providing the services you want, is it really that bad a deal for you?

Don't lend anyone money, don't allow anyone access to your assets, that's always a losing move.

High standards for life here.

As for the sex with other guys, totally normal behaviour in Thai men and women. Accept it and learn to be equally unfaithful. This is the land of equal opportunity f#@£ing around.

I've been dealing with the same problems as you for the past 17 years, but never kidded myself the situation was anything but what it is.

No, it isn't don't compare your experience with prostitutes with other people's wife's.

You're wrong, many of them look and behave just like all the other women. Zero teeth problems with mine, a bit manic/depressive, but it's not a big problem.

My guesstimate is 50% of the Thai population are on it in their teens and 20s, reducing in number as they get older.

You are really mixing with the lowest of the lowest and got a very distorted view of the Thai population.

I thought it was funny. The forum is full of bitter guys.

No doubt you feel making fun of member's wives here is funny, as you look at women as dogs anyway. Guessing how many guys here are bitter is another in the long line of daily assumptions you make about everyone, without ever meeting one. That you'll never understand this , with your IQ of 137, simply is beyond reasoning. Sticking up for a member who constantly trashes foreigners is also suspect.

Actually anyone who has respect for women at all, let alone a wife. People do make fun of others, mainly to make their own low self esteem better. Veiled insults are still insults, and a man doesn't make them, especially about other's women.

Just now, Rockyroad said:

Again you stick up for someone you've insulted before. Banging 21 year olds who are in it for the money isn't something to brag about. Look at you. No girlfriends, no wives, over 35 and no family. Might want to deflect elsewhere.
