Best Full English in Bangkok

Featured Replies

I was just going through my old emails and found an email thread back of when this used to be Thai Visa and a source of all information about Bangkok / Thailand. Of course, the original thread has been deleted now.

Anyway, I wanted to open up an old debate. What is the best English breakfast in Bangkok?

Is this a trick question? No such thing as a good English breakfast.

I take that back. Any restaurant in Bangkok is great when you don't have to share a rocky table with the forum's biggest troll.

Says the gal who suggested going to Nong Kai when asked about English Breakfast in Bangkok. But, hey, you are on a roll with wrong information, no need to stop now. Keep going....

Where ever they serve BLACK PUDDING

Get a piece of cardboard and slather it with baked beans. Good as any!

Plenty of that walking around Soi Nana

Think I would choose an old sock over the cardboard. But I guess I shouldn't knock it until I try it. I'm still pretty certain the term "good English breakfast" is an oxymoron though.

Ask Ai then go to the top 3 and report back!

Such a wealth of useless information. Hard to imagine humanity surviving without you.

Good idea, but the old sock would add some flavor. The top requirement for an English breakfast is that it have absolutely no flavor at all.

Could always simplify by skipping the EB adventure all together and eat something tasty instead. Where I am right now I've been eating half a kilo of fresh strawberries, a few tablespoons of creamy salted peanut butter, and a roast chicken salad with humus every morning. And a few squares of dark chocolate. A bit of a flavor explosion actually.

Best one I had was in Nong Khai with free coffee top ups!

The Black Swan, Sukhumvit Soi 19.

The OP said Bangkok. Your just a whiz at geography though.

Chequers in soi 4 (Nana).

To top off your extremely useful information, a traditional full English breakfast is served with English breakfast tea and not coffee.

Or Robin Hood Suk 33/1.

Not in Thailand.

The Londoner Brew Pub looks like the best.

The OP asked for the "best English breakfast", and never suggested seeking anything "good".

But crack on.

Looks like the best based on what? Plus it's not in Nong Kai, so forget it.

Not bad.

Good point. But the best English breakfast would still be skipping an English breakfast.

Or skipping a thread that one has little interest in?

Entirely.

Too late, I'm already onto lunch. I just had....

Some hotels do a decent FEB but since that's for tourists and not AN diehards, we will never know.

Any place that serves that pre-formed triangle of processed 'hash brown' fried potato is automatically eliminated from both "good" and "best" categories.
