I have some younger relatives in Germany, and also some friends who have kids who are in the age range between 20 to 30 years. We talk about these topics sometimes.

I did not hear one time they said that they hate jews! What they say is that they don't like the Israeli government and the Israelis who support this government, and that they are totally out of control and there must be an end to all this. They are sick that our (German) government supports all this, besides some lip service, but the rest is business as usual. They are all very aware to avoid talking about jews or their religions, because they know immediately  the antisemit/nazi hammer will come down on them.

Honestly I belief that is the most frustrating part for them,  as they are not allowed to criticize the Israeli government without being pushed in the right wing/ nazi corner..

Expanding on a previous line of discussion on this topic, I just looked this up and about half of Jews are atheists or agnostics.

They're still Jews! As in Jewish people, as in by ethnicity, by being people of the tribe.

If you met someone born a Christian and they were an atheist how often would they continue to identify as Christian? Hmm.

This further illustrates how it is perfectly valid and logical to use the phrase RACIST Jew hatred.

To add for the Israel obsessed, under the Zionist law of return law which originated in the founding of the Jewish nation state, there is no requirement whatsoever to be a believing or practicing Jew. Being a Jewish person suffices.

Now if for some reason you just can't

accept that, then simply read Jew hatred instead.

Actually -- my post above notwithstanding -- I seldom go around thinking of what religion, or not, people might have. Those atheistic Jews you are talking about, I would not even notice, in the same way I do not expect most people I meet to be Catholic or otherwise believers. You would have to tell it to my face to bring it up.

But there is a very visible minority in Israel that is easily identifiable by what they do (politically, or as settlers, or in Gaza and Lebanon).

The same as we -- quite mercilessly -- rip into the Americans for what Trump is doing, or into Russians for what Putin is doing, or into the Chinese for what Xi is doing, doing the same to Israel seems to me therefore... fully ordinary and actually quite unremarkable.

On a direct personal level, of course VISIBLE Jews, whether religious or not, are more likely to be subject to racist Jew hatred.

There is more to being a visible Jew than being religious or wearing a kippah or Star of David, etc. which sadly Jews in the diaspora are now being advised to try to not wear such things for safety reasons.

There is a long history of Jews hiding for safety going back thousands of years in the diaspora.

It's interesting that a quite high percentage of Latin Americans who are usually Catholic and had no idea before DNA testing that have unmistakable genetic markers for Jewish ethnicity. Hitler would have loved that technology.

Other ways non religious Jews are visible -- attending Jewish cultural events such as film festivals, visiting a temple because a religious friend is having a special event there, at work, etc. having a very identifiable Jewish last name such as Cohen or Goldberg, going to a Jewish foods store, having a Jewfro, a Jewish culture speaking pattern which is derived from Yiddish and a Jewish cultural upbringing. The list could go on for a long time.

You seem to have a big big issue of falsely conflating Israel and Israelis with all the Jews in the diaspora who are NOT Israelis. Sadly, maybe not sad for you. Jewish spaces all over the world now require security that non-Jewish spaces don't. To protect against racist Jew hatred attacks from the left, the right, and also Islamist.

True a Russian abroad may get some flack and suffer discrimination with visas and banking while abroad. But a person who isn't Russian with a Russian last name won't.

As far as criticism of the Israeli government and policies that is normal, OK, and indeed welcome and the majority of Israeli citizens also criticize their own government.

Maybe for different reasons than the Tik Tok brainwashed "River to the Sea" (a pro genocide chant) usually young bozos in the west that know almost nothing about the history and complexity of the conflict.

I do hear your personal resentment about your own government. That's your business.
