Funniest hotel review

Can't believe it but here it is

"However, during the night, I had a very unpleasant experience that changed everything. I woke up to use the bathroom and found a very large cockroach inside. I immediately closed the bathroom door and rushed to the reception, only to find out that it was closed and not available 24/7. I tried calling the provided phone number and even reached out via WhatsApp, but I received no response at all.

I was completely alone and had no choice but to go outside and look for help. The area is very quiet and there was no one around, which made the situation even more stressful. Eventually, I found someone and asked for help. Thankfully, he agreed and came back to my room with me. Without him, I honestly don’t know what I would have done. By the time we returned, the cockroach had already moved from the bathroom into the room.

This was a very stressful and disturbing experience. I couldn’t sleep properly for the rest of the night. I understand that this is a tropical location and insects can be expected, but the hotel should at least be reachable in emergencies and take proper pest control measures to minimize such situations.

Although the hotel appears clean overall, it’s clear that more needs to be done in terms of pest control and guest support. There should always be someone available to assist in urgent situations.

Due to this experience, I am considering requesting a refund and changing hotels. I wasn’t able to take a photo of the cockroach because I panicked and left the room immediately, but I do have a witness (the person who helped me) and I even took his contact details. Interestingly, he turned out to be related to someone working at the hotel.

In conclusion, while the hotel made a good first impression, this incident significantly affected my overall experience. I hope this review is helpful for future guests."

Clearly “cannot see the woods for the trees” springs to mind. AN's most prolific poster is not making a point......

This.

It's obviously a "story" generated by someone with too much time on their hands, generated by AI, either for clicks or likes or just to pass the time.

I think it is called in the trade; reading the room. If no one understands then it is not the audience's fault.

Pretty dumb audience if you can't understand it.

Did you miss the smiley?

Thank God you got that one! Don’t worry, after it’s gone, its family will crawl all over you while you’re sleeping … wherever you are!

True story or not, it is forecast the last remaining species on Earth before it is consumed by the sun are roaches.

We came back from a Weeks absence to find the bathroom floor littered with dead bodies. Too much sanitation chemistry going on.

For the OP. Cockroaches are harmless & have been around on this earth for several million years unchanged. Not one has carved human flesh for its midday sandwich. They do enjoy being spoken to though.

PS.

The first cockroaches I ever saw in my life were in a hotel in New Orleans. There was a large damp spot in the middle of the carpet and a half dozen were dancing and cavorting around the spot, obviously as part of a voodoo ritual. I couldn't sleep all night.

First and last time in New Orleans.

A cautionary reference from 2011 in Chiang Mai (Google)

The deaths of multiple tourists in Chiang Mai in early 2011 were linked to pesticide exposure, according to a final report by Thailand's Department of Disease Control.

  1. Victims: Six people died, including an elderly British couple (George and Eileen Everitt), a 23-year-old New Zealander (Sarah Carter), a 33-year-old American woman staying at a nearby hotel, and a Thai tour guide.

  2. Likely Cause: Investigators concluded that the tourists were "probably" or "likely" exposed to toxic chemicals or pesticides used for bedbug or rodent control.

I was with the Thai Tourist Police in Chiang Rai at the time and followed these sad deaths as they unfolded in Chiang Mai.

Breathing issues during the night. Clogged sinus etc.

Itchy skin.

Headaches.

All of which I wasnt experiencing before sleeping in the room. On some you can see the built up dirt on the blower. Pooling water underneath is also a tell tale sign of clogging.
