I'm thinking I may have to go to immigration to get this question answered but maybe not. This board has tons of valuable information so here goes.

I'm thinking that I have to go to a neighboring country to get a tourist visa because I've already burned through a US Tourist Visa with an extension, two Jack Golf visa runs and one week holiday to Cambo in which I flew in and out of the new airport.

By my calculations I'll have been in Thailand for 187 days when I fly back to the States on September 18th.

Here's my comings and goings.

I arrived in Thailand on MARCH 24TH with a 60 Day Tourist Visa issued in Los Angeles. This visa expired on MAY 22ND.

On the 22ND OF MAY I went to the immigration office and got an extension until JUNE 21ST. On

JUNE 21ST I did a border run to Cambodia where I was issued a 30 day visa which expired on JULY 21ST.

On JULY 2OTH I did my second border run to Cambodia where I received another 30 Day visa which was good until AUGUST 18TH.

On JULY 30TH I went to Cambodia where I stayed from the 30TH TO AUGUST 2ND. Upon arriving at the airport I got another 30 days which lets me stay until AUGUST 31ST.

I have a ticket to fly to the US on SEPTEMBER 18TH.

What I'm getting at is that in the last six month I'll have been in Thailand for less then the 180 day maximum when I fly out on SEPTEMBER 18TH.

My question is do I have to leave Thailand and go get another Tourist Visa on AUGUST 31ST can I do a Jack's Golf Visa run and be issued a visa that is valid for less then thirty days?

You should be safe for about a 20 day entry and with your ticket in hand do not believe you will have a problem on a normal cross border run.

But your trip should be on the 30th (or before - in your case you lose nothing doing it a little early as days will be added to new stay stamp) if your entry stamp reads permitted to stay until the 31st.
