Having been in a common law wife/husband relationship for almost 7 years and being succesfull in obtaining Australia permanent residence for my common law wife, I know wonder whether the Thai Immigration Department would recognise this relationship.

I have my own business registered here in Thailand and have had a work permit for the last 3.7 years. However I understand life in Thailand could be much easier and simpler if we were married for long term residency and citizenship, however much prefer the Defacto or Common Law wife status.

Any thoughts about this?

Looks like you will have to get married as it is not reconised in Thailand.
