I'm certainly not going so far as to say that the IDF deliberately murder civilians, but what I would say is that they don't go far enough out of their way to avoid murdering civilians. I think in general they hold Palestinian lives in very low regard.

I hold all foreigners lives in very low regard.

There's no question that the IDF are composed of morally bankrupt and ethically challenged individuals who are doing the bidding of a lowlife, genocidal street trash leader.

Well it certainly wouldn't be if you didn't consider them to be a human being with some dignity and some rights.

Lefty activists need someone to teach them all countries are not as forgiving as their home countries.

It’s about allegations of Israeli abuse, refer the OP.

Your attempts to deflect do not change the subject of the thread.

The activists were detained in international waters.

Yes indeed set upon by a bunch of lawless pirates in international waters, dragged off to

a genocidal apartheid state for abuse and humiliation because they wanted to bring medical supplies and food (yes symbolic amounts) to an oppressed and long suffering people.

Notice how Trump and Co have no problems with Israel's blockade of the Palestinians

but are up in arms about Iran doing a blockade.. yet more sheer hypocrisy.

Why did so many activists need to go ?

Wouldn't it have been better so spend the money on aid , and use the space for aid ?

Like 10 boats full of aid, instead of 50 boats full of activists ?

It takes a certain mentality to link yourself with violence, such as joining up with the police or military. You have to believe in divine right. I'd guess that these police don't like protesters--that's the mindset they're taught. Perhaps the protesters thought they'd come back heroes from fighting the good fight and...OMG!...getting arrested!

I'm a broken record but it appears to me that the protesters themselves were not properly trained in advance. They expected a ticker-tape parade!

The activists blocked the arrivals exit by having a group photo taken and a sing song , the Police then tried to keep the audience back.

The activists then man handled the Police , pushed them around .

The Police responded .

(Its much better to find out what happened, rather than just dreaming up what might have happened )

Unbelievable :

I have just watched an interview with that Woman .

She said that there were sexual assaults by the IDF on the last flotilla venture , but this time the sexual assaults were much worse ........................she then goes on to say that she will definitely be going on the next flotilla voyage !!!!!!!!

It's quite amazing how any criticism of Israel, the IDF or government policy these days leads to an accusation of Jewish hatred or anti-Semitism. Simply been reduced to the low quality of a meme. I hope you realize that whole train of thought is simply sponsored by the super corrupt Israeli lobby.

They're delusional and heroes in their own mind and their own mind only. They genuinely expected a hero's welcome, yet Spanish police had none of that - good.

They were not carrying food or supplies, unless you're referring to condoms - they had plenty of those. They were fully aware they will be intercepted and had no intention of ever reaching Gaza. I for one think the IDF should let them through and take their chances with Hamas in Gaza! In their delusion they might think they'd be welcomed with open arms, but in reality Hamas would rape and/or kill the women, and 100% kill all gay men. The useful idiots are claiming Israel are monsters and violate human rights - but human rights are meaningless in Gaza under Hamas.

Historically, when people have been tortured, the first thing to do is photograph the cuts and bruises as evidence. I can't believe this happened as no photos were revealed. The hair pulling won't show obviously. They should have had CCTV on the boats

The IDF consists of normal Israelis. If you live in Israel your whole family served in the IDF, your neighbors, your friends - everybody served. This isn't some mercenary army with little relation to the people - the IDF is the people. When you say s*** like "the IDF consists of morally bankrupt individuals" you are saying all Israelis are morally bankrupt. Maybe that's not what you mean because you have no concept of a society where everybody serves in the army and you're thinking in terms of society vs mercenary or professional army - but in Israel such distinction does not exist and any Israeli who hears you say it will immediately think you hate all Israelis or Jews.

Try to move on instead of going over the same thing all the time , it gets extremely repetitive .

Are you for real? They were forced to shake their hands under threat. And either way that does not detract from the fact Hamas on October 7 murdered over a thousand people, raped, tortured, beheaded, and burned babies alive. But I was actually referring to Hamas' ongoing inhumane treatment of their own people.

Unsure of whether the US carrier being used as an Israeli prison ship--previously used to imprison Palestinians--had IDF in charge or Ben-Gvir's personal police force given full reign.

Yep. Brainwashing the population through nationalism by military conscription for all. That's exactly why Israelis statistically support all Israel's wars & other atrocities.

I haven't seen any Israeli opinion polls about what Israeli think of the Gaza blockade and the treatment of flotilla activists. Not just this week's but the IDF murdered activists on one of the first boats to run the blockade.

I bet Israelis are all for it. It's a military mindset. Israeli society is hypermilitarised. It's hard to see any peace coming with pre-emptive wars.

I'd like to know if anyone has an opinion about the other Arab countries. Is the entire population hypermilitarised in any of them? Honest question. I don't know the answer. Back up your answers with facts and references.

Untrue : NOT a US carrier

While the ship was built and financed in the United States, it is fully operated by the Israeli military and is not an active-duty US Navy carrier or vessel.

Israelis sympathies for the Palestinian cause completely diminished after Oct 7 2023 .

It's astonishing that you actually think this kind of s*** happens. When you enter the IDF one of the first lessons you get is that you MUST refuse an order if it appears to be illegal or against human rights. There is not a single Israeli soldier who would actually obey a command to deliberately mass-murder civilians. Yes- there are situations where it is unavoidable because Hamas love using human shields - but to say the IDF deliberately kills civilians means you know nothing about the IDF and just spewing fictional drivel without any basis in reality.

Here we go again with the human shield nonsense. Don't forget hospitals and schools as terrorist hideouts. And all those children queuing for food and water are being groomed for terrorism, right?

I'm sure drafted soldiers are given a pep talk. But they have total impunity. They were using kids for target practice, fer Chrissakes!
