It has moved.

Yes, last time I went it was in BigC shopping mall, very nice.

WP took five min. extension 15 min.

Same place but different rooms.

Jomtien immigration should move to like Terminal 21, good parking etc.

Should give you a buzzer on your phone when you are ten min before meeting officer.

Go eat or shopping while you wait..... But no, you sit there for their power trip.

There is an unfinished football stadium on the dark side that could probably be converted into an immigration office. The bleacher seats would be perfect for all the people waiting around. It would ac

I remember the Immigration Office move from Pattaya Soi 7 to Jomptien - where the land was donated by a famous German restaurant guy. Surprised they have the money to start again elsewhere.

Hope not. That wouldn't be too convenient for a lot of people. But, that didn't stop the Land Office from relocating to out in the middle of nowhere, where they have already outgrown both the parkin

Baan Amphur, is that the area way south of Pattaya. Will be a real PITA to get to. Crazy when i guess most retirees live around Jomtien.

Bahn Amphur is very easy to get to from Pattaya or Jomtien. Just hop on the Sukhumvit road, 5 lanes each way from the new extension starting just past the floating market.

Or take the (7 ? ) motorway to the junction at Ocean Marina and turn left onto the Sukhumvit next set of lights is Bahn Amphur.

usually only once a year so does it really matter?

Think they are planning an App for that. 90 day and annual extensions included too eventually.

I hope it's of benefit to ex-pats. I hailed the 90-day on-line reporting when it arrived. I so resent the fact that having a holiday abroad means all the rigmarole of a personal visit/photo-copies/travel despite having a year's visa AND a multiple re-entry permit.

Baan Amphur, that's great for me

I go 6 or 7 times a year, visa, 4 x 90 day, residence cert, reentry cert

Visa/extension should be once if you have the correct one, no 90 day reporting do online instead, resident certificate every few years unless you are buying selling vehicles property every year

14 Years ago the Immigration in Surat Thani moved from the City Government Centre into a

rubber tree field far away...

Do 90 day reporting online, get a re-entry cert at the airport.

Online is fine if you have a printer to print out the document....I don`t...Internet shops are few and far between nowadays....simpler for me to get the Wave out and ride over there.

come on.

Down load to usb stick take to any copy shop and they will print it.

Every town has these shops, the locals use them every day.

you don't need to print it, save on your phone, easy.

Maybe you see it as a day out, many people do

On another note, someone mentioned above a requirement to do the 90 day report in person after a visit out of country, but that doesn't happen here.

When was the last time you did one? When the system was first launched it was possible but about a year (?) later it was stopped for most of us.

I JUST got back last March from a visit to the US. I even got an email from immigration reminding me to do it.

Sounds like this has happened:

The email would have come out at the original due date as if you hadn't travelled (it always does, travelling doesn't stop it being sent and a new one with a revised date is not generated).

If you submitted it then, and the officer never checked for you leaving and re-entering the country (I think someone said they can but have to access another system) then you would be registered as reported based on the date of your previous report.

Good you "got away" with it, as I did once in similar circumstances, but I wouldn't count on it in future.

budget approved to move the office from Jomtien to Baan Amphur

They keep moving it south, next site will be next to Rayong immigration at Ban Chang.

Rayong immigration is not in Ban Chang, it is in Huay Pong, and their new office is very good, much bigger, proper toilets, plenty seating etc.

But it seems Immigration overall is planning to move the bulk of its operations online soon.

Literally a 10 minute drive down Sukhumvit to Ban Amphur from Jomtien, probably easier for anyone living on the darkside of Pattaya to get to Ban Amphur than battling the congestion heading to current location.
