Trump's 'flippant' response to Iran girls' school bombing

Featured Replies

“It’s such a strange question to be asked at this date, because you’re talking about a long time ago,”, Trump said when asked about the investigation at the recent G7 summit. “But nobody did that on purpose.”

Again, when asked about the report recently, Trump’s response was labelled “disgraceful”.

“I have not seen it, no … I don’t know that they’re ever going to solve that problem … I don’t know that they’re ever… they’re going to say it was one of our missiles. Pete [Hegseth]. I don’t know that they’re ever going to solve that problem in terms of whose fault was it, because there were missiles flying all over the place.”

Posts with derogatory nicknames, intentional misspellings, or personal remarks will be removed. Spell names correctly for all sides of the debate.

Is anybody seriously suggesting that Trump personally ordered the bombing with the sole intent of killing schoolgirls ?

Is anybody unable to see that it was an unfortunate accident, and unable to understand that accidents can and will happen in a war zone?

What’s not to hate about bombing a school full of girls then hiding the evidence?

Trump is the commander in chief, his desk is where the buck stops.

We don’t know if it’s unfortunate accident, neither do you, Trump’s administration is hiding the investigation report.

You obviously didn’t read anyone suggesting any such thing.

Because nobody here has.

Painful as it is for you to read that.

I’m only surprised you still cling to the hope Trump will ever deliver on anything you want from him.

Clearly not because nobody here has suggested ‘Trump personally ordered the bombing with the sole intent of killing schoolgirls’.

There has not been a final report released on the Minab 'incident'. They have not definitively ruled out that it could have been caused by a heretofore undetected meteor strike.

The 'accident' was most likely the result of using outdated satellite images of the target.

In law as in peace recklessness and the state of mind ("mens rea") is a central part of establishing and allocating guilt.

The extensive intelligence available that it was adjacent to a medical facility (albeit one operated by the Iranian Navy) and that at least one missile "loitered" observing the scene before being directed to strike as the children were evacuated in the open suggests at the very least recklessness, if not an intention to kill.

If recklessness is established then yes, he and those in the chain of command who authorised the strike have at least a case to face.

It is not hyperbole to point out that " I didn't think about that" and "I was only following orders" have repeatedly been failed defences in war crimes trials, going back to Nuremburg and Tokyo.

If it was an "⁰unfortunate accident" then it must be investigated, and if recklessness or intention are established then those guilty should be held to account.

It will probably be released the same day as the unredacted Epstein files, the 12th of never.

Surely from the parents of the dead children and people around the world with a conscience also don't you think? Or don't you think?

Two people come to mind to answer your question, Trump and his puppet Hegseth. Admitting the truth does not fit their character of incessant lies.

Locating a school next to military facilities and having military personnel in close proximity did not help matters.

The order was given "No aborts" He is personally responsible. He wanted to be President. It's his responsibility.

There are protocols that should have been followed, and the report if going to be made public which i dough should show that !! but the info already given is that the intelligence was outdated therefore the strike should not have been carried out

Before any strike occurs, forces must use all feasible means to verify that the intended target is a lawful military objective and that the building next door is not currently functioning as a school. Commanders must ensure that their target data is up-to-date and not based on outdated intelligence.

How do you know the protocols were not followed? There were reportedly 7 missile strikes at the target. 6 were directly inside the Iranian revolutionary Guard missile site. The 7th strike is in a building that was directly adjacent to the Iranian missile base. There is a strong possibility that the school was intentionally situated adjacent to the base to act as cover for the missile base.

The US did not intentionally target a school. That is something the Iranians do, The US did not set out to kill children. That is again something the Iranians do. If the US missile struck the school it was because it was adjacent to a legitimate target and was linked to that target. Situating a school next to a military target is what the iranians do.

You need to check out congress hearings in this matter which is stated as a fact that that the US knew it was a possible school and they had outdated intelligence. yet it was bombed to me that is NOT following procedure
