Most people went for the dancing. Rockers went for the girls, and tolerated the music because of that. Remember CBGB's for the punk rock and all the clubs in New Jersey for the disco scene (girls).

CBGB? That was a few blocks down the street from me on Bowery Street. I lived on Bleecker. That place was a thing at the same time as all the discos. I remember going there in July of 1976, when all the tall ships were in town for July 4th. And for anyone who didn't like CBGB, there were the discos. Most were uptown from the Village, although there was one after-night place right around the corner from me, on Broadway street. I think it was called Infiniti.

Great, so you're a huge Village People fan too because your Pedo Supreme Leader loves them. What are some your other favorite uphill gardener acts?

Some were. Some weren't. At this point in time, who gives a flying puck either way?

Been a long time since I've been to the Village. Miss those times. Parents and brother were born in Brooklyn, relatives in Queens, Staten Island and NYC. and I after they moved to New Jersey. Worked in NYC and enjoyed many of the best pizzas you can get, along with Chinese and Jewish Deli Sandwiches.

2 were openly gay. The Cowboy and Indian.

Yep. I stated as much but GG needs to assert some of his self-proclaimed superiority and beneficence on others. Which a nice change to him opening threads with trite drivel then arguing with people who call him out.
It's nice to have him agree on something, even if he thought he was arguing the point.

Also, while I'm here @fredwiggy I'll say I enjoy your consistency and level-headed responses when shirt-fronted (literarily) by some of the more unbalanced amongst the readership.
