BKK-LAX return flights - best options?

Cheers. So far, EVA, Asiana and Philippines are the best prices.

I'm tempted to book now as I can't believe they can get much lower than around 32,000.

Can’t comment on prices, etc. on Economy but I’ve taken EVA several times in biz class. Good airline. Make sure to note layover times. For some of their connections in TPE can be very long. Return flights for me went via SEA, not LAX so make sure you can book LAX-TPE-BKK for the return.

I always used Premium Economy and thought it was great. I've done both JFK to BKK and LAX to BKK.

If you thought it was so terrible, why did you fly it multiple times? You could always find a flight that stopped somewhere for a layover or change of planes.

Anyway, even though the flights were advertised as around 17.5 hours, sometimes they never took that long. Once, coming back to LAX, we must have picked up the jet stream, because the total flight was 13.5 hours.

I was at the time gold with TG and tried to use them as much as possible. And I could only expense PE (if I was lucky) and used miles (or money) to upgrade to biz. I remember the flight timing, left BKK at 19:30, arrived LAX at 19:30 same day....always felt weird. Coming back just felt like a bloody long day/night.

United Airlines flies from LAX to BKK with a two hour stop in Hong Kong. You get off the plane and then reboard the same aircraft again. While it is not a nonstop flight you do not have issues with connections since the same plane. The only downside is you have to go through security again before boarding as the arrival area and departure area are on different floors and you must exit the aircraft while in HKG. Otherwise a decent flight and your luggage is only handled once. Not sure about pricing.

The only problem is United, Hong Kong is a great airport though. I try to use the foreign airlines when possible. Better food and nicer service. The Manila flight is interesting. I try and take advantage of layovers for a few days of touring. Seoul and Hong Kong are well worth the stop

You guessed wrongly.

One US airline on the Full Service listing, at number 17.

As for Hybrid, you are talking about a mix of low cost, such as Ryanair and a normal full service airline. Hardly a cause célèbre and even there you start at 4th, with Canada trouncing you coming in second. So again, what was your point?

correcting the lie. you like the lie, so to you, its truth.

You reply doesn't make any sense. You link simply confirmed what he wrote in the first place. That your airlines are not considered the world's best, on any level. Where's the lie?

I would rather swim to Thailand than fly on any US based airline...UA/DELTA (Don't ever leave the airport) and AA all SUCK!!!!! Awful service, grumpy old ladies and men, dirty planes, bad food and a lousy experience. I travel for business and speak from experience.

I usually go through Japan or Korea. I like Japan better because it's about 2 hours shorter from the states and the total flight times are more equal. Buy now or later? who knows. I just paid 25000 Baht for a direct flight RT to Sapporo on Thai.

What does this have to do with BKK - LAX? CTS - LAX info doesn't seem related. Are you suggesting adding on a BKK - CTS return?

I think if you take another look at what and how you have written, you might come to the realisation that you are not in a position to teach English to anyone.

The CTS flight is in reference to when to buy, nothing to do with the LAX trip. Japan vs. Korea has to do with breaking the trip into more equal times.
