  • Years back a lot of women who had kids didn’t work unless they had no other option , ex poverty. It was very common for a working husband to give a weekly a pound of money to cover food and kids expen

  • I don't pay anything but I spoil her to death, it's OK she's young and beautiful, deserves it.

  • Western women usually steal as much as possible. Hookers are cheaper.

I don't pay a regular wage. If she who must be obeyed needs money for shopping, she asks for it. If the nephew needs back to school stuff, she asks.

It isn't a regular amount.

But my will says she gets it all if I go before her

Hush-hush? Please! My life and finances are an open book, bragging about my generosity is a pleasure. Every third year, on her birthday or Christmas, I get her a brand, spankin' new broom or mop to make the housework easier. Years ago I gave her my old, worn-out work gloves when I bought myself some new ones. I prefer her hands to be callus-free after she does the yardwork, trimming trees, hauling bricks and gravel, digging ditches, etc.. Now, on Mother's Day, every fifth year, she gets a new spool of thread to keep the holes patched up in them gloves. Sometimes I get her a job cleaning hotel rooms so she can stock up on soap and shampoo.

Now, @scubascuba3, keep my answer someplace safe where you can find it, so when this same lame question arises again in two months, I won't feel obligated to answer.

Reminds me when i was a kid my Dad bought my mum a vacuum cleaner for xmas, that didn't go down well, but was probably normal in the 70s

Do you pay a monthly salary to your partner?

Most men provide their women with everything they can earn/get/steal.

Normal behaviour for men IMHO.

The game is to find a femal partner that isn't unreasonably greedy.

More than the top of the scale but keep 30K for myself. I insisted she close her business, retire herself and just keep the Family running.

Western women work, pooling resources, or are housewives, doing the house thing while the man works. The only women who charge are hookers.

I've never managed to meet a woman who actually does that.

Normally any money the women earn, they spend on themselves.

While all the men earn, they spend on their wife and family.

Every couple I've known, and it's quite a lot, have worked together as a team, and most were both working outside the house. All the ones I've heard of from friends and family have also been the same. Not too many traditional households in America, supposedly less than 10%. I'm thinking most men are fine when their wives spend some of their own money, as well as on everyone else. My two ex's both worked, and we pooled, but when they wanted something for them, it wasn't a problem, as I did the same thing.

And they both split, when you expected them to share.

Meanwhile you assume about the finances of other men you have met, they probably lie as much as you about their relationships.

The number of American guys I have met, who continually boast about their massive incomes and business deals ........ while appearing to be paupers.

PS.

Weren't you leaving Thailand?

Still here, can't afford to return to the USA?

Why not start a GoFundMe, most of us would be happy to contribute to your leaving.

They didn't split. I divorced them. It's never a good idea to assume yes, as this is what I was told by both the husbands and the wives, and they're all still together. It may have been a little different in their homes as no one knows what goes on in anyone's home besides those that live there. Also not a good idea to assume about me, as I don't lie. and only I and them were there.

Also reading hundreds of articles and books written by psychologists and counselors who've interviewed millions of couples gives you an idea what goes on, as they're seeking help when they visit with them.

It's still a huge traditional practice where the one who's best with finances is given the "power" over the money to pay the bills, put some aside for emergencies and buy the groceries. It's not considered a salary but a pot where all the family money goes to be dealt out accordingly.

Here , being a poor country, some might consider it a salary, but many of the women here are already working, so it can still be a pooled resource.

If it's a woman that isn't working and the man likes to have things done, bringing in all the money, it's like having a housewife, that does much of the house and kid things, while the man supports with his money.

If it's a woman that does nothing but give the man sex and maybe make occasional Pad Krapow, it can be called a salary.

So after all that waffle, yours gets a salary then. How much?

You lie more than every other poster.

See, like setting a watch, the number two appears, and says the same things again. Never will answer honestly, and either forgets what you've already said all along, or does the other tactic, deflection and or projection.

You see, the other idiot appears, and you change your tune. You were doing okay in this topic, then had to add another of your lies. Now maybe you can understand why others despise you and her.

I pay nothing. Zero.

How about you?

Perhaps you shouldn't hang around on this thread if you aren't prepared to say/play.

Never had any women in my life steal from me. If you plan right, and buy the house before you're married, if she turns out to be a loon, she gets what she came with or half of what was bought during the marriage. Hookers bring STD's, which most men don't want, along with that back catalog, which most don't want either.

How is that formula working out for you?

Are you Tony Robbins?

He possibly sees himself in that vein. Hasn't quite worked out that way for him.

Every man pays, whether it's a salary, or gifts and prizes and general expenses. There is no getting around paying for a woman. The only way to avoid that is to stay single. Women are expensive.

Having said that some of us think it's worth it.

No. Same old trope. It's your experience and the experience of those with whom you acquaint yourself.

Besides the cheap charlies yes. Single men pay more for a temporary thing. Teamwork is what always works the best, no matter if it's a year or 40.

If they are a team that might mean that they share equally...yes?

That's not the man paying then, is it?

I better not post on this thread

Today I saw a beautiful painting....

It is called "Expats in South East Asia"

The Don Juans are one of the easiest type of personality disorder to pick out.

The "Don Juan" archetype is often easy to spot due to predictable behaviors. They are characterized by intense charm, a talent for grand romantic gestures, and a pattern of abandoning partners once the thrill of the chase wears off.

While their initial allure makes them stand out, they can be surprisingly difficult to accurately identify at first glance because of several factors.

  • Expert Mirroring: They often lack a core, stable identity and mirror their partner’s desires, adapting perfectly to what the other person wants to see.

  • The "Chase" vs. Connection: Many users in discussions on Reddit note that while they are highly skilled at early attraction, they are deeply insecure and incapable of forming long-term, meaningful relationships.

  • Seduction Experts: Unlike the Casanova type (who generally seeks mutual pleasure), the classic Don Juan is heavily focused on the conquest, using intense flattery and audacity to win over their targets.

  • Psychological Traits: In clinical and literary frameworks, the persona often overlaps with narcissism and a compulsive need to validate themselves through continuous pursuit. Extremely self conscious and insecure, many times hateful of themselves and will likely end up all alone, after they age and can't fool women any longer.

  • Sit back, make some popcorn, and watch him implode trying to degrade others more fortunate than him.

Many members might recall that their father or grandfather would hand his pay packet to his wife every payday. She would then give him some pocket money.

Thats the way it was back then.

Nothing to be ashamed of, even though Rocky desperately wants all wives/partners to be labelled as hookers.

The salient point there, is wife. She ran the household whilst he was out at work. Otherwise how would it work?

Whereas here, the men are at home or the women do not even live with them. Not same.

It varies month to month

I remember one month around 100k baht, it was her birthday.

When we go to the village, visit family, I deposit 50k baht into her account, this is so her family doesn't ask me, she controls the holiday.

As I'm drinking my beers, glass is never empty and food from the BBQ is constantly fed to me by my girl and the occasional kiss ♥️

I'm in heaven 🙏
