Ah, the bimonthly rerun has arrived again right on cue. The “how much rent do you pay your wife or girlfriend to put up with an insufferable AN member?” thread has returned right on schedule. It’s always reassuring to see fresh ideas are still in short supply. For a moment I thought we’d broken tradition. But thankfully the usual suspect is back to posting the same topic that has only been posted hundreds of times already.

Nothing says quality discussion like Ctrl C, Ctrl V with a different date. I’m so looking forward to reading pages of the exact same replies from the exact same people, who will no doubt reach the exact same conclusions, again.

I was even considering writing a detailed response with a full breakdown of numbers, explanations, and the obligatory disclaimer that every relationship is different. It would have been a valuable addition to the several hundred identical replies already made.

I’m sure this version will finally settle the matter once and for all.
