Mmmm. If the short guy is the Thai, it looked like he was the aggressive one.

No excuse for assaulting anybody, be it a foreigner, a local or no matter what argument.

But on the other hand why did the food delivery chap, go beyond his line of duty, open his mouth and start giving a lecture to some drunk foreigner on a beach ?

It shows an inconsiderate pothead attacking someone because they were asked not to smoke that sh*t next to them....so much for no one on ganga is violent..wait for it...it's the drink 😁 😁 😁

It's the drink not the green stuff. Did you wait long?

Correct. Alcohol encourages violence, cannabis encourages calm. Combine the two, however, and alcohol takes over.

Perhaps it's the cannabis that takes over.

City Police sent him home. It's done. The attacker crying after he threw the first punch is pathetic. He started the fight.

No police were involved, the authorities were Pattaya municipal officers.

Yes but that's not what happned.

But what did happen was a Thai man/boy went over to read the riot act to a falang at 2am on a beach.

And it all went wrong on him. now posing for a picture, after a smack in the gob.

Mind your own business at 2am, it's easy. well for most people.

Why the lame, derogatory reference to a "Thai man/boy"? The only riot act reading was in your own head - a peaceful, polite request from the Thai was what was actually reported.

What restaurant? What are you going on about? They were on the beach. Which restaurant, pray tell us?

... where smoking cannabis is just as inconsiderate and illegal.

Just now, wavodavo said:

The question is ...did the pot assistant in the potshop advise the pothead that he it was against the law to smoke it in a public place and especially the beach. ???

It's very doubtful that he would have done especially considering that he has no obligation to do so.

The last sidearm I bought here...

Tell us about the circumstances in which you legally "bought a sidearm here" in Thailand. I'm assuming that you're not Thai.

Not unreasonable to be aggressive after being punched for making a reasonable non-aggressive request.

Since when is politely asking someone to stop smoking an illegal substance in public that is affecting him "giving a lecture"?

"Don't worry dear.......we're just having another family friendly quality punch-up, on our family friendly quality beach, in our family friendly quality city, in our family friendly quality country (renowned throughout the world for it's family friendly quality destinations and the quality tourists that visit them).......I'm going to get stuck in now so you just carry on with your meal and enjoy the show.......same again tomorrow night if you're interested, kha......"

You think it doesn't happen?.....or just showing a polite interest?

I was told that I could only buy via a local polieman.

But even if you did procure one via a local Policeman it would never be a legal firearm for you in Thailand!

I'm doubting your assertion that you bought a sidearm here when I know for a fact that it does not happen legally and has not done for a number of years. "Local policemen" do not have the authority to sell firearms to, or to arrange the sale of firearms to, foreigners in Thailand so let's hear your story about the last time that you bought a firearm in Thailand legally.

Guns are not outright illegal in Thailand, but civilian ownership is tightly controlled through a licensing system that most people, especially foreigners, will never qualify for. The governing law is the Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, Fireworks and Imitation Firearms Act B.E. 2490 (1947), which requires a government-issued license for virtually every firearm-related activity, from owning a handgun to importing a replica pistol.

Get a permit to buy from your local tessabhan, need to explain the reason you wish to purchase.

Go to your preferred outlet and purchase, take back to tessabhan, they register and they issue you a licence to own, and optional licence to travel with said weapon. Of course this is all irrelevant since 2014 👍

I only removed you from my block list yesterday.

Ha Ha. bye again.

The Man/Boy derogatory reference, was because he started it, then cried when he got a slap.

what a tosser.

Mind your own business at 2am, around drunk, drudged up people.

Just wonder if it had been a table of 4 Thai men, would he have gone over and mouthed off at them.

sure he would have. coffee1

Mr Kittiphong should minded his own bussiness!

I don’t get it.

Thailand is pretty much up in arms about badly behaved foreigners who may or may not be tourists, plus TAT are making a thing of targeting quality tourists. So why not go full court press and legally charge said foreigners/tourists who behave badly and break several laws in one incident.

Of course I know the answer, Thailand is all talk and no change.

This kind of thing basically never happens in Singapore, the consequences are too severe and therefore these type of people don’t go there, or behave themselves if they do.

As I say on here over and over, Thailand gets the tourists it deserves because the product on offer appeals to that kind of person. So might as well do what Thailand basically does now, which is milk these people for as much as they can get and put up with the nonsense they create.

Not so great for the general population not making a living off tourists, but there you go, they got to put up with it

Of course foreigners will never qualify for a gun licenve, foreigners are forbidden to own guns in Thailand.

What has that to do with the claim that it was a restaurant and how is that connected to the attack shown on video? Is it legal for members of the public to attack people who are smoking cannabis?

What has that got to do with the incident in question in which a member of the public illegally smoking cannabis attacked another person for requesting that he stop? The person who complained was not the attacker.

Indeed it's not the alcohol/cannabis: It's the sh*t lode of jerks here. Alot of folks mix the two, wine and edibles, myself included . This guy is more likely also one of these obnoxious, entitled cigarette smokers. And the majority of these sh*t birds in the news are these white male cigarette smoking eurotrash. A country like Thailand can still have a "party " scene sans the jerks like Singapore

Might as well stick with the winner then.
