I can solve the entire issue for the UK with just one, small, sensible, overdue change. Legalise weed! Results:

• All these 'problems' described in the OP dissappear

• All those tax dollars squandered on seizing a tiny, insignificant fraction of the vast amount of smuggled weed are saved

• A significant source of funding for criminal networks is removed

• Otherwise law abiding citizens are no longer criminalised

• People's right to make their own, adult decisions is respected

• New tax revenue streams are established

• Young adults in particular feel less harrassed by police - significantly improved police / community relations

• the list goes on...

But no, they choose to keep 'coming down hard' as part of their hopelessly lost 'war on drugs'. Brainless, reactive futility.

Hemp was grown extensively in England, It was used to manufacture rope you know what that is right ?

Sometimes I grow my own weed, but you can relax, I don't make any money out of it
