Arriving on a one-way flight on a Non-O visa extension

Featured Replies

I know you normally have to have a return flight or an onward flight already booked to satisfy the immigration police, but does having a Non-O visa valid till end March 2027 mean I can enter on a one-way ticket sometime this fall? I have sufficient funds to show.

Yes, one way is just fine on a non-o. If they hassle you at the check-in counter at your departure, just point out the long term stamp in your pp.

You don't have a Non O visa.

Seems that you have a 12 month extension that expires March 2027.

Assume that you purchased a reentry permit prior to departing Thailand.

You do not require onward flight nor would proof of funds be asked for.

You don't need a flight out but be prepared to explain the situation at the time of boarding emphasizing the reentry permit,

No ticket required.

When filling out the TDAC you can leave the departing flight empty and choose "long-term visa" as the reason.

I also fill in the number of my re-entry permit in the TDAC anyway.

Avoids getting stamped in on 30/60 day visa excempt by mistake!

At least in the THIM app it's like that, the result looks like below:

Indeed, I usually get asked at checking in (I normally use the check in counter), and have to point out the re-entry stamp.

If you do online check-in en "self bag drop", expect to be asked at boarding.

And definitely do not forget a re-entry permit, or leaving Thailand will make you lose your extension!

Heads up.... When you hand your pp to io in Thailand point to your reentry permit and check stamp has correct "until date"

That's the admitted until date which is same as date on reentry permit.
