I had an e-mail from them on 2026-07-30 with this as the top:

Hello Beast Of Bodmin,

Upcoming changes to how you use Wise have been delayed.

In May, we told you about some changes to how you use Wise. These included moving you to a new Customer Agreement with Wise Payments (Thailand) Limited.

These changes were due to start on 3 August 2026, however they've been delayed. This means you can keep using Wise as you do today.

What happens next

Additional verification

From 15 September 2026, we'll ask you to complete an extra verification step. We'll email you when we need you to do this and guide you through the process.

Moving your account

We'll move your account to Wise Payments (Thailand) Limited from 19 October 2026 onwards. When we email you about your verification, we'll also tell you the exact date your new Customer Agreement starts.

I know they are supposed to give at least 60 days notice. September 15th has been and gone. I just used Wise to make a transfer and I didn't have to do any extra verification.

contains this paragraph, which is different than what I was expecting in terms of operating my Wise account as a multi-currency service and ubnless it is somehow a toruous use of marketing speak it is very good news:

Adding money to your Wise multi-currency account: You'll be able to add money to your Wise Account using a local Thai bank account. Once added, you can convert and hold that amount in over 40 currencies. You’ll still be able to add money to foreign currency balances in your Wise multi-currency account from a foreign bank account. For example, you can add money to your Wise account USD balance from your US bank account without any conversion to THB.
