Been licensed since 2007.

In 2017, the laws changed, banning foreigners from obtaining a licence.

The 2017 change means I cannot buy any more.

Interesting. Didn't know that. Is the licence for life, or do you need to update? Also, can foreigners rent firearms at the shooting ranges?

So much for gratitude. The grandparents threw their aspirations and dreams into the ditch to raise an ill conceived child, whom, years later, shoots both of them in the head, depriving them of a peac

  • This is common in rural thailand, kids dumped with the grandparents who have no control and are often too old to look after them properly. Sad story.

I believe so. If not, pay a visit to Cambodia, you can shoot anything there!

Is there a law in Thailand that requires firearm owners to secure their weapons? For instance like locking the weapon in a safe so children cannot access them. This could be a moot point in this case because the grandfather was the legal owner of the pistol because he is now dead. The PM has said there will be new laws as result of this shooting. One of the cardinal rules of firearm ownership is to lock them up especially if children are in the house.

No laws now for that here but it would help tremendously if they did it in America. Of course some locked gun cabinets can be accessed easily but a safe can't, so if everyone had a locking gun safe it would stop spur of the moment shooters from getting their hands on weapons.

Yes, and the kids. Finger print access would work well.
