I had a motorbike accident earlier last year, stupid eastern European woman put me in hospital. I got stitched up, plaster cast and pain killers, I never got the prescription filled. I didn't need them, not required, not much pain.

I rarely get infection but had had extensive dental work and had minor procedure like having a cyst removed. Both dentists and doctors have prescribed antibiotics. I sometimes get the antibiotics at the local pharmacy rather than at the hospital (you knew sometimes they are twice the price).

Thais often ask "ma tam arai"? Translating as "What have you come to do?". Or "Ma tam mai?". Why are you here?". Perfectly acceptable in Thai, the second one sounds a bit "off" when translated to English.

There would also be a "kha" or "khrab" in Thai, deeming it polite.

Funny, when I lived in Italy, the shop owner would say “me dica” = which means “tell me”. Guess one could tell him many things! 😅

If there is no one in a shop, or not answering a bell or buzzer , I walk out and go elsewhere.
