My last application in 2023 I redacted my bank account number and sort code but left the address visible - (I seem to recall you enter that as part of the application but I may be wrong, but I also used my Council Tax statement as proof of location and obviously that has my address)

The only email I received was when the visa was approved (5 days after application as I said above), but I also logged in and saw it as "processing" the day I submitted.

I used my Driving Licence twice previously which was fine so used it again.

Vietnam I suspect will be overjoyed with this reduction to 30 days. Really isnt conducive to encouraging visitor numbers but only my opinion

When I visit Vietnam in November and I find it attractive my days in Thailand after 172 trips may well be coming to an end

They also do 90 day visa which reading from others are very easy to rinse and repeat

I don't call it anything.........others put labels on such things.

The Thai government obviously regard tourists as short stayers. Tourists are holiday makers, holidays are typically short-term in nature. Until I moved here permanently, I never stayed longer than a month on my visits.

I have several 'snowbird' friends who will winter in Thailand, several more will work 6 months in the UK to spend 6 months in Thailand - none are tourists.

Thing is, as @Chivas pointed out earlier, the days of everybody working for a company and having to beg for time off are gone. Certainly some people still do, but I for one spent the last 20 years of my working life as self-employed - so if I asked the boss if I could take time off.....I always said Yes if the finances allowed for it! 😎

Sorry, can't help you. When I put my photo in the visa application, the website did kind of a pre approval. It came up with a text "your photo is suitable" or similiar. If you can't send a new photo: just extend by 30 days at the immigration when you are in Thailand.

Yes I had exactly that come up "photo meets approved standards" or words to that effect

I have new passport photo I obtained late yesterday specifically. My lad further to my post yesterday bought his Apple Mac around last night as well and we logged in on his. Same issue

I've emailed the address I had response from few weeks ago when I enquired about something

Extending 30 days wont work on this occasion. The proper onward ticket is dated 59 days in advance of arrival.

Worst case scenario I have to buy another "proper" ticket at 29 days in advance to get past check in and possibly immigration if forced to go VE...Its absolutely nailed on that any semi fake "onward" ticket is going to be closely examined. Ground handling aren't daft

All of this is purely down to them not accepting close to £200,000 in an investment account as acceptable "income" rather than an average balance of £5000 over 6 months in a current/savings account for an METV application

(Edited in....there was over £5000 sat as "cash on account" within that 6 months as well on investment account but they viewed it as not accessible 24/7)

I can be utterly certain that wont get past check in. There are multiple reports on Frequent Flyer forums of that not being acceptable at airline check in desks in recent weeks and thats before this reduction to 30 days. You can be sure as hell there will be vigilant checks on the 15th onwards

Just an idea. Use your phone. I just logged into my account on mine and everything that should be clickable is working, including a pending application. I can't replicate your exact issue but it might be worth a try.

If so, you ask for a superior. By the way, the way to do it is not to buy the ticket for day 30, buy it for day 7 or 14 and explain that you plan to travel around to various countries in the area during your holiday if they question the ticket out of Thailand.

Xgody Chinese phone worked !! Have uploaded the new photograph 10 minutes ago hopefully that will satisfy them. I'm wondering about that onward ticket that I wasn't able to upload without removing the inbound ticket. (Different airlines)

You want to be called a tourist?..............Get a 60 day TV.

Extend for 30 days then you will be pretty much on par with your ability to travel to Europe.

I agree, online visa applications is not a walk in the park. I managed to get a Non 0 E visa online a few years back in home country, fumbling through questions, photos and file size requirements etc. If you want 60 days here come exempt for 30 then an immigration visit for another 30 days..........

i wouldn't call her anything its none of my business what do you call her , to her face ?

FYI, Major internet sites now post articles here in the USA about the stay reduction from 60 to 30. I been going there since 2004. 16 trips now. Now I am older and on my last visit I got a Non Imm O before I traveled and stayed for 90 days. It was easy on line process and worth the 80 USD I think it cost to have that in hand. Would have liked the 60 day to have stayed in effect for some upcoming casual visits, but no big deal for me one way or the other. Still tossing around the retirement decision of there or not which was always my goal after my first visit in 2004. I am still enamored with the country. Wish that health insurance for old folks like me was better or even available as I am about to hit 70 years of age.
