The best thing I ever did in my life was to give up smoking just on 50 years ago. It all started like this, a close friend of mine was having open heart surgery. In those days the actual surgery looked gruesome. So after departing the hospital after visiting him I threw a full pack off smokes away and I've never smoked since. Two years later I ran 4 marathons, even now I'm 81 yo and I still walk 12 hours every week. For those who drink and smoke give the smokes away. The booze makes you fat but that can be eliminated whereas in time the smokes will eliminate you.

I started and stopped in the same period of time, around 16. Smoked a pack with a friend in less than an hour, got sick, never again. My dad smoked 3 packs a day for 60 years+ and it caught up to him at 79.

Most of it comes from kissing someone , dirty water or contact with feces. Partners or parents to children. Once a child gets it, it stays forever unless it's stopped by meds. I got it here, likely from my ex. The majority has it, but it only affects those 15-20%.

I have never had it, and I have kissed my fair share of women. Just lucky, I guess.

I have always been careful about food and water hygiene.

You might have it without knowing it. Only way to know is to get tested, but it isn't necessary unless you're having long term gastritis.

Doctors are there for a reason,as nutritionists are also. Doctors kill more people yearly from over prescribing than most any others, and most aren't promoting nutrition but medicines, for a reason. They are the only ones that can prescribe certain medicines, especially in the west, so are necessary in that respect, but second opinions after researching is always the best course before you commit. Doctors over prescribing eventually killed my ex wife in Texas.

Who else would overprescribe medicines apart from doctors?

If I have it, I don't have any symptoms.

Doctors can prescribe or over prescribe, depending on how intelligent and caring they are. Caring doctors listen to every word, look at lifestyles, think of what the patient might have been doing wrong, then suggest things they might change, along with prescribing medicines to temporarily correct what they did wrong, and wean them off them as soon as possible, if possible. They save thousands and kill thousands every year.

Yes, as long term gastritis is the main one.

You won't find them in Thailand.

IMO the psychology in Thailand is patients feel cheated if they don't go home with 5 or 6 different pills.

No steak on earth is worth 3000 Baht. I've had them from Argentina, Japan, Texas, and Australia and the highest I've ever paid was $40 ( 1300 baht). The Japanese Wagyu was along with a variety of steaks from various locations in one restaurant. It costs more in most restaurants.

A good steak at most major cities in the country that you're always talking up about having relatively low inflation, is now $60 to $80 plus 30% for tax and tip.

It's an assembly line where many aren't re-evaluated about how they're doing. The same thing happens in the west to a much lesser degree. They have psychologists here, but you have to seek out one who will go the extra mile.

Let me know where you're able to find a doctor like that. I find doctors much more willing to listen and take their time than most American doctors.

But 98% of them are human prescription dispensing machines.

I don't need to seek out a psychologist. There are plenty of unqualified ones on ASEAN.

I had one last December for less than $25, with a baked potato and salad. My daughter goes out with her husband every month to various places and does the same. You don't have to pay top dollar if you know where to go. In NYC and other major cities you'll pay more for everything. Texas especially has countless road houses with great steaks for under that price and a little over, up to $40 or so. You can pay more if you want to. Up to $240 or more, if you're crazy enough to throw away money.

You'll need to speak fluent Thai to see one here. I know two that are seeing them for depression and they just go to the hospitals, see the doctor after seeing the nurse with their symptoms, then the doctor asks them the same questions and they get meds.

No follow ups. They're told if they have any problems make an appointment but in the follow ups, they aren't delving into how they're really feeling and asking certain questions but re-prescribing. I went with one and she was given the meds. When the doctor saw her again, he asked her do you want to take the medicine and she said no and that was that. No re-evaluation, recommendation for another try, ask her if she was doing better, which she isn't but still in the same place she's always been. I talked with him . He was in his 20's, and knew less than I did from my questions. basic schooling, basic analysis, basic prescribing. Assembly line psychoanalysis.

In America you'll get a much more involved analysis, along with the follow ups. I know quite a few that are taking meds there, along with seeing doctors who are involved. I'm sure many all over are plain lazy, but some get into the business because they want to help, much the same as all other physicians.

My ex wife was always seeing doctors in a particular practice in Texas, that's in many cities. They put her on pain meds, one after another for chronic pain. She was there a lot when I was with her, and I went with her and saw what they were doing. She had way too much faith in these morons, who gave her a Fentanyl patch, along with either Morphine, Dilaudid or Vicodin for "breakout pain", which isn't what should be. Pain meds aren't supposed to take all of the pain away all day long and make you a zombie. They slowed her system down so much they needed to take her colon out. She had a heart attack in her 50's because he body was subjected to way too many medications not just for pain.

I think it safe to assume the same guys moaning about a B3K steak were moaning about a B700 haircut a few days ago.

It's the best seasoning I've found for steak, burgers and chicken. I use AI Steak Sauce sometimes for a change.Yes, they make the cheaper cuts taste better, and the better should only be seasoned with Kosher Salt.

AI Sauce knows what flavour you like?

First thing you learn as a restaurant entrepreneur...

Steaks & Booze = profit 💰

Pouring booze out of a bottle? Just a few seconds. Low labor costs

Slapping some salt on a steak and throwing it on a grill? Just a few seconds. Low labor costs

Chopping up vegetables, preparing them, making sauces? Hours of labor. High labor costs, money loser.

Conclusion: Drunk people who eat steaks = Profits 💲

BTW, I know how to make a 3000+b quality Steakhouse steak at home with nothing more than sea salt and a ribeye from Lotus that cost under 300b.

It's so easy it's stupid compared to making a decent pot of butter beans taste good. 😎

From your description, you obviously do not know much about running a restaurant kitchen, or how to make premium steaks and justify the higher price for better quality.

That he claims he can buy a steakhouse quality ribeye for B300 at Lotus says all you need to know.

On the other side, you also have many foreigners who think they can charge premium prices by taking short cuts, without really understanding the business. Then they wonder why it does not work.

However, this place linked below managed to make it work when he started up and kept the same quality for years at a decent price. I have not been back for many years now, but it is still worth checking out if you are nearby, or anyone who can check it out if they still deliver.

Yes I know. Hence my post.

Do not forget we have only been discussing the price of the Steak, add to that:

A sauce of your choice 190-250 Bt

Very small portions of:

French Fries (taste to me like McDonalds) THB 220 or Mash THB 290

Mushrooms THB 390

Small Mixed Veg THB 350

So you are looking at a further THB 1,150 unless you are happy with a steak on a plate with nothing else.

If green salad is your thing, add on another THB 490

++ Anyone
