Build the overpass and if you want to use it or not at least its another choice, its up to you then its your life.

I think an under pass might be better, people don't like going up stairs much.

As people have said on this thread a underpass would be too expensive as you would need drains for the flood water in the rainy season. Also its a nice place for nasty people to mug you

It is very hard for people to cross 2nd road safely when all the crazy drivers are coming at you at break neck speeds The overpass is the only 2nd choice you have as its not expensive to build. To put a island in the middle of any road in Thailand will result in more accidents they would just smash into it while pissed up. The red traffic light as we all know does not stop everyone how many people would be killed and you would never get a traffic cop to sit there all day So as I have said if you want a safe 2nd choice it has to be a overpass.

Why not do what a friend of mine done some years ago. He used to stay in soi diana but liked to drink in the wonderfull bar (soi 13 - i think) However, he hated crossing 2nd road after he had a few - so to avoid crossing the road he got a room in soi yamoto - why complicate matters
