Asus Or Dell Dealer In Thailand

Featured Replies

Sick of carrying my heavy Dell XPS back and forth from work to Thailand.

Looking for a reasonable spec Dell or Asus laptop to keep in my apartment in Patong. Not worried about what software it comes with as I have my own copy of XP Pro I'll be installing. (Waiting until MS sort Vista out before I start using it)

I'll be visiting Phuket, BKK, Udon Thani and Chiang Mai on my next visit to LOS, so if someone can recommend a good Dell or Asus dealer in any of these locations I'd appreciate it.

IT City at Zeer Street (opposite the Carrefour - the 59 bus takes you there, it is near Rangsit) carries ASUS. They sell their X 51 R with 1 GB RAM, 120 GB HDD, 1.6 Ghz CPU for about 22,300. 22,900 buys a Lenovo Y-400 with T-2350 Dual Core CPU, 512 MB RAM... You can always get a 7% vat refund at the airport.

http://www.dell.co.th only offers you to call and I could not get prices at all as this requires some kind of registration process. Weird, compared to DELL's Taiwan and Malaysian websites.

Asus can be bought pretty much anywhere, and it doesn't really make any difference where you buy it from. You ultimately get service from the distributor.

Dell, as mentioned above, only accepts phone orders, and there are no dealers in Thailand. I have no idea why they even maintain a Thai website. It's completely useless.

Yes, I've just looked up Dell's "Thai" website and now see what you mean Firefoxx.

Though they do have a Thai support number listed on their Dell.com website, I think I will drop them from the running.

How is Asus' support in LOS?

You took the words out of my mouth. I have brought 7 of them of late for many of my freinds who want them. Good kit indeed.

Asus Support is exellent.

My previous laptop was an ASUS, bought here in Thailand and after dropping it managed to get it repaired under Warranty, while i waited!

Wife threw coffee over hers and needed a new keyboard. Again, done while i waited and no question of warranty or not.

Their service center is/was on Rama 4 road so easily accessible too.

I am currently using an ASUS W3J. The best laptop i have ever used. I am the owner of 2 Toshibas, 1 Dell, 1 Mitac(ODM brand), and an IBM. None of them compares IMO
