Paypal & Ebay Thai & Western Seperate Accounts?

Hi

Is it possible to have bother seperate Western PayPal Account ( ones home country where ones home bank branch is)

and also have a Thailand Paypal account for example to drawn down cash from small internet business sales into once local Thai Bank Branch?

I suppose one would have to use different Paypal IDs with different emails attached to each paypal account?

Of course each Paypal account would be supported by documentation from the countryyour in, for example in thailand... Thai Bank Statement and Thai Utility bill work permit etc?

I find.. that even though I am outside my home country, ..and if I stay out, just over 6 months a year, I am free from personal/income tax, but paypal in home country keep hitting me up for documents re tax etc... and explain to them the "legal offshore" situation is like talking to a wall! plus with EU country paypal.... I do not think I can drawn money down into Thai Bank ( or if I can its costs a fortune) so would having 2 seperate accounts be an idea?

Any help on this?

Also is it possible to do the same on E Bay... for example in have one ebay ID to see a certain product line, targeted at your home country wher eyou maybe using your full real name as an ebay ID? and then to have a complete seperate Ebay Account on Thailand Ebay or Ebay.com with a different ebay ID and different email address assoociated with it?

I did read once on ebay years bacj they recommened different ebay IDs for different products people sell, ,but now I think strictly speaking it is against the rules to have 2 ebay accounts?

Any advice on this.

Yes, I have an American account and a Thai account (linked to my Siam Coomercial account). Two ID's, two different

email adresses.

And I am not even American!

www.moneybookers.com is also great for this sort of thing. they are UK based. I have one MB account linked to bank accounts in three seperate countries, took a few faxes to get setup but now it's easy to draw money down to any location, and AFAIK they dont charge the 2.1% fee when you withdraw to a foreign account as paypal do.

I have a uk paypal and ebay account, my wife has a thai ebay account and paypal,( husband and wife can have seperate ebay accounts at the same address as long as neither are or have been suspended ) i often send money to her paypal and she then in turn sends it to her thai bank, all ok so far, i have a business paypal account with a high turnover ( 2 mill baht a month, but in sterling,. ) never been asked for tax details yet ! i know what paypal are like though,.

What I found strange is that eBay doesn't accept Thai mobile phone numbers. It always asks me for a correct phone number until I enter a land line. What's up with that?

Paypal can be a right pain. I had a problem with mine for a few months, since I am legally income tax free from Ireland "offshore".. in Ireland, not sure of exact number of days, put if you are out of the country, for 6months 1 day(old rule was that), you do have certain tax advantages.

Paypal got all officious with me, re paper work, (reminds me of the old sterotypical factory foreman, brown store coat, black framed glasses, poker up bum,pencil with erazer on top, clip board firmly under arm).

They demanded all sort of extra paper work, and also since I changed my Irish address, demanded paper work from 2 years back re old address, amazing how an online e payment company who do not post you out printed statements can be so demanding for paperwork, especially since today many of us into Electronic Banking do not keep stacks of statement from years back (which was none of their business, since my main business I do not use paypal for at all), and the officious paypal customer service team lead, even had the cheek to contradict the my co director in Dublin, who is an Account, who also has a Tax Specialization, and Offshore tax experience LOL! So out of sheer pig ignorance, I kept re faxing 6 document to them over and over and over in one 8 hour period, and LOL! suddenly all the BS was dropped, and my account reopened.

It amazes me how information from my bank manager who knows me years,along with statement & bills , my accountant, and even an Irish passport still gets you the auto responser "We need more information, the documents up supplied are incorrect"!!! Then the cheek of a call center jockey to argue that a qualified tax accountant is wrong!

I emailed them last week, to find out can I draw down to my Thai bank account, as I explained I spend alot of time over here. ( which I believe if you do not tell them you access your account from a foreign place can be another reason to freeze an account). So I await gleefully for them to answer me.

Ebay are a pain in the butt. I used to buy products off ebay. Since papal, ebay and skype are all the one now, its almost like an monopoly. There should a few growing serious competitors. plus all the personal info this "unholy trinity" have on us all, who we call and get calls from skype, what we do with money on paypal and the exact amount of money, what we buy or sell on ebay. Their probably selling it to the CIA!
