Proof Of Onward Travels When Doing A Visarun

Hi ya!

Sorry for being boring but I didn't find a thread that covered this topic. When doing a visarun nowadays is there any requirement of showing the 10.000 baht or a ticket stating that you are leaving Thailand within the month or so that you get.

A while ago there was the 10.000 baht rule, but since the 30-days restriction I'm not sure what's going on. I'm doing my first visarun for about 9 months so things might have changed.

Both are required for visa exempt entry (and there are reports that 20k has been required at some entry points) but it is still an exception to be asked at crossings other than Cambodia (where tickets are the current passion).

Ok, maybe I should specify the border point which is Mae Sai-Tachilek. I should look into the local scene here to see if anyone has been over lately.
