Can't advise for Pattaya but in Bangkok Sukhumvit area without doubt " Magnolia Spa" corner of sub Soi 33 Sukhumvit Soi 71. Full service day spa run by nice people that can speak English.

The ONLY place I have found in Pattaya that has any idea about cutting hair is in Carrefour, all the way at the bottom, same level as supermarket, in the corner.

Good Luck!

There's a L'Oreal Franchise in Big C (Festival Centre). There's a guy in there named "Su" and he's by far the best hairdresser I've ever come across anywhere in the world.

Not only does he do the best haircut, he's the fastest I've ever come across too. He'll do a professional cut in less than 10 minutes. I'd bet on this guy in any hair dressing competition.

I'm not into weird cuts like the OP, but I'm sure this guy would have no problems doing your hair anyway you wanted it done.

Try K. Kid in Soi VC. I can't remember what the name of his shop is but it's directly across from White Knight restaurant - best buffet food in town. K. Kid opens in the afternoon about 1.30 pm I think. White Knight opens at 6.30 pm (except Wednesdays at the moment) Have dinner while watching Kid at work and decide whether to have your hair cut. Dinner 220 baht, haircut 200 baht. :o

Yes, just say Su as in "Sue". He's the only male hairdresser there.

I've used him more than a dozen times, and he's never failed to give me a great haircut yet...for 250.

Good Luck!

I have to agree about this place! My boyfriend went there last week and told the guy working there to decide for himself what kind of hairstyle would suit my boyfriend, he designed it especially for him and gave him a haircut which really suited his face and hair type. All for 250 baht...

AND! He said if he is not happy with the haircut, he can go back next month when its grown, and he will re-style it a different way for FREE... Good customer service!!

There is a great one in Sriracha just over the train tracks on Soi Assum from Robinsons, ask for Gay...

I have had cuts at other places and ended up going straight back to her to get her to fix it. The reason why I sometimes try other places is because she is quite sexy and the wife doesn't like that !!!!

This may be slightly off topic, but the street that faced (i think) Hollywood Disco, near Soi-Day-Night, where they are now building some big building, is basically an entire soi of nothing but hair salons. Surely someone there must be good. I mean, on one block, there are about 20 salons. Many are open very late, to cater to the late-night Soi-Day-Night party crowd. I can't personally vouch for any one in particular, but I noted that I observed a sign outside one of them that said "We Do Back Shaving". So if you have a hairy backside, I think that's your street.

Hope that helps.

I tried the place at Big C (Second Road, upper level about 20 metres from the big sports shop) a few weeks ago, ok nothing special for 200 Baht.

This may come as a surprise, but most salons have many hairdressers which means that it's really up to the skill of the the individual hairdresser that counts, not the salon.

I don't know who cut your hair there, but Su is world class.

So anyone recommend real good ones where they can do the best mens styles and coloring etc.

my gardener is quite good using the hedge clippers. don't know of his colouring abilities though.

Try K. Kid at Tim Hair Beauty Salon in Soi VC. Salon is opposite White Knight restaurant. There's only K. Kid in the salon. You can have a great buffet dinner at White Knight while watching K. Kid do his stuff then decide. Clientele seems to be all male except for a couple of old farang ladies.

Also, you could try Keow at Starlight hairdressers near Simon's Fish and Chips on the road down to Dongtan police station. Again only Keow and her sister (who doesn't cut, style, colour) in the shop. Keow seems to have more male customers than female. Both ladies very nice and good looking. Also, have massage shop next door.

Both these places open late - Kid about 1 pm and Keow at about 11 am.

Tel Kid: 089 760 1224

Tel Keow: 081 686 8039

This guy is the best in town. :o

His barber shop is on Soi 17 south pattaya. For the educated.. just round the corner from the Lion Pub and going towards the Harley Bar. He is on the right hand side almost opposite the Locksmith shop.

A hair cut and a shave will cost you 70 baht. I go there regularly and have always had good service. Its the same price for me and the locals!

Don't think he colours hair though.

I went to Big C and looked for that Su guy but infomation said there were three salons there

I looked in but nobody knew anything

It's the L'Oreal hair salon on the 2nd floor near the entrance to the supermarket right next door to the Baskin N' Robins ice cream shop and opposite the bank.

I've been going there for the last 6 years and the only place I trust to cut and colour my hair - The staff are definitely experienced too as most of them have been there as long as I've been here :o
