Until this year, I'd never been approached to buy drugs.

This year in Patong, I'm constantly being asked...

Coke, Grass, Everything.. from Tuk Tuk and motorcycle taxis to the touts pushing the go-gos and discos.

And I'm a 40 something, clean cut, non druggie.

This Island needs a bit more cleaning up than the occasional high profile media bust! But, I guess it's a start.

Me as well, although for some reason I don't mind being pestered by the dealers anywhere near as much as I do the suit sellers!

Wow - Mr Perfect. Are you clean cut enough not to pay for female companionship. Everybody has different vices.

You missed the point. He along with alot of other people are annoyed by the pushers. He didn't comment on anyone's personal vices. The issue isn't over the right or wrong of drugs but the right to not be harassed by some turd trying to sell poisonous products of dubious quality. If the suit touts are pushing crappy clothes, just imagine if Pom who cooked up the Yaba in his pot cared whether or not he used acetone or formaldehyde in the mix. Quality control is not a priority for these people. Besides, dealing with the unknown pushers usually ends up with the tourist or expat scammed, subject to extortion or incarcerated in a lovely Thai prison. A farang and especially a tourist that would purchase drugs in Phuket needs his head examined. It's not worth the risk. I know quite well that some of my Thai friends use drugs. The difference is that they know the supplier, most tourists in Phuket don't have that luxury.

I actually had 'weed.. coke" shouted at me while riding the bike along Nanai Rd by one of the beach boys / jetski lads.. Actually shouted at a passing motorbike, thats pretty brazen for Amsterdam let alone Thailand.

If I didnt know it would have ended in an argument I would love to have asked to look to see how badly his gear was stepped on..

Personally it bothers me not one bit more than a suit seller going "oiright.. lovely jubbly mate.. Wanna suit" as I am about as likely to purchase from either of em. To me its just more noise.
