Quality sofa in Bangkok, maybe built in Bangkok - where to get one?
I've had an Ektorp 3 seater and armchair from IKEA for about 6 years and it's worn very well. I'm not a small guy either but it's very comfortable. I got it from the Bangna branch which was huge and had a good range there. Also has the added advantage of changeable washable covers. Not for everyone and I understand your brief but maybe worth a look if you're near there. -

Mae Sai: Six Teenagers Swept Away by Floodwaters, Four Missing
Picture courtesy of Khoasod. A tense night unfolded in Mae Sai, Chiang Rai, on September 11, as six teenagers attempted to cross floodwaters in the dead of night, with disastrous results. Four are missing after being swept away by strong currents, while two were rescued in a dramatic operation. According to a report from the Facebook page ‘Chiang Mai You’ve Never Seen’, the incident was livestreamed at around 20:00 by the ‘Ton Prakan’ page. Six teenagers had ventured into a dangerous, fast-moving flood in the Mae Sai district. Out of the group, two survived, but the remaining four were swept away and remain unaccounted for. Rescue teams, including the well-known ‘Ruam Katanyu Foundation’ managed to save one boy and one girl who had been carried by the floodwaters and pinned against a wall. Sadly, despite their efforts, the other four could not be reached in time and were last seen disappearing in the fast flowing waters. The Early Release of Thousands of Prisoners in UK Proves to be Very Unpopular
Its like scenes from a Batman movie where Joker has released all the prisoners from the Asylum to cause mayhem on the streets. Anyone with even a fraction of a working brain would first look at the 10,000 foreign nationals residing in prison and simply deport as many of them as possible back to their home countries rather than this.- 1

Personally I think "SURREAL" would be a better descriptive. along with "very very worrying" jailing people for "wrongspeak" is straight out of 1984 and where will it stop ? They are already replacing the term "illegal immigrant" with "irregular immigrant" how long before it becomes a crime to use the original term? If this state of affairs continues I think we can expect a lot more early releases of increasingly dangerous prisoners to make way for those who have said , or even just thought the wrong things, A recent example being a woman who was standing silently near an abortion clinic accused of "praying" This is not just about immigration, it is about a nasty authoritarian government who have become very unpopular very quickly, making an example of anybody who dares to disagree with them. It is in effect an extension of the current "cancel culture"- 1
