Could anyone tell me..

Is there any good Thai phrases for well wishing a journey upon someone, eg. may the ground rise to your feet or may the wind beat upon your back or even just to say have a good one mate?

Not in that sense. What is usually said to me by people who want to be casual and funny about a farewell is:

'Au Khai Rot Fai (Kheuang Bin) ma tdon deuuuuu'

(Please bring me the egg of a train (plane))

That's pretty funny. :o

The latter part (ma tdon deuuuuu) sounds like Isaan dialect - I think the Central Thai equivalent would be 'duay na khrap/kha'... but then again, the expression itself seems to be jokingly pretending to be an ignorant hillbilly who thinks aeroplanes and trains are animals, so I guess it could be the old Isaan country bumpkin stereotype that's being used, and it wouldn't work so well without an exaggerated dialect.

Spot on. That was how it was said to me and of course it was not in central Thai.

Pai kon, deuuuu :o
