Eye Test For Updating Prescriptions Of Contact Lenses/glasses

I want to get a good eye exam (test for glaucoma etc) plus update the strength of my prescriptions for both contact lenses and glasses.

where is a good place?

is this just a matter of going to that department in the hospital (e.g. Bumrungrad)... or is there a better/best alternative?

BNH hospital on Convent Road is very thorough and I would recommend their eye doctors. They gave me the right prescription for progressive lenses after two other places had given me the wrong one.

They check for eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration etc. although allow yourself plenty of time because the pupils have to be dilated with eyedrops. It's painless.

I've made three visits in two years and their charges have been reasonable. I'll certainly go back.
