Okay, you crazy linguists, here's a new slang word (for me, anyway): จอมตุ๋ย

Anyone want to have a go at that one?

(Hint: I discovered it in a Thai-language newspaper article about the latest notorious farang in the news.)

Some quick googling suggests that ตุ๋ย means something like 'abuse' or 'rape' but judging from the results seems to be restricted to child sex offenses (could not find any articles where it is used in other types of sexual abuse or rape).

จอม means 'top' , 'principal' or 'the peak' of something

in this case could it mean " the arch rapist" or the "arch abuser" , the "principal abuser" , the "chief abuser" , the "big cheese of abusers"

ตุ๋ย is คำสแลง meaning "pederast" (esp. with young boys)

taxexile's take on the modifier จอม sounds about right.

as I know, ตุ๋ย is a name of the gay guy who has sex with boys. (It's shown in news 10+ years ago)(+/-3)

After he was caught, ตุ๋ย became to be a slang.

As ตุ๋ย = having anal sex (gay)

Realy? I was always under the impresion that it simply refered to a person who has been arrested with no chance of bail because the crime was very serious.
