Possible ? Multi Bank Combination For Retirement

Featured Replies

Is there anyone who use 2 more bank to get retiment visa ?

Ex. (400K in BKKBank)+ (400K in HSCB) = 800K in Thai bank.

Of course you need 2 Bank certification.

I 'm keeping money in BKK Bank for 3 years. Now the interest rate is 0.

Why not move money to the Bank which give better interest rate?

People have reported using more than one account.

Likewise, for the pension method of qualifying for the retirement visa, you can combine pensions. I have 3, none of which satisfies the 65K amount in itself.

Not a problem, as long as it all adds up.

Naka.

And the money can be in any bank accounts in the world or just Thailand?

Yes, savings are nomally about 0.75% before tax. :o

Actually there is no Thai tax due for most people as it is refunded unless you hold a lot more in a passbook account than most people. Of course there is always the US IRS for some of us.

TISCO BANK offer 2% for saving accout if you keep more than 100KB

it is a small Thai bank that has 20 branch in THailand

I extended my visa recently with 2 bank accounts, and Bangkok Bank issued just the one certification letter that covered both accounts. As one account was a joint account with my wife, I had to produce the marriage certificate and her ID for Immigration, but there were no problems with the application.
