technocracy Posted November 24, 2007 Share Posted November 24, 2007 Well as the BiB in Bangkok are going to become the Boys in Beige and Brown - the Lao police force has gone total Beige already! So the local nickname of 'maeng wan kiao' (Greenbottle fly . . and what do flies gather around . . ahem) will no longer be apt! Personally I think the uniform is a great improvement the green uniforms always looked to much like military and was kind of unfriendly looking to visitors, the beige looks less threatening.
