Domestic Cold Water Tank

Have all new homes got to have one when built (fire regs) does anybody know?

I've never heard of it and most houses around here don't have one so my guess is that it is not required......fire reg's?....we don't need no stinking fire reg's!!!!

Water tanks are required due to low water pressure/no water pressure, so that you can use a pump to get water to the second floor of your home and have water when the mains are dry. Or they are used on tops of buildings as gravity feed - although it will probably require another tank/pump to get the water that high.

it's good to have one on the roof, in the attic or outside the home to safe on heating water for showers/washing
