Quality Thai Food In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi

Could anybody be kind enough to reccomend a good quality Thai restaurant for me in Bangkok?

Cheers :o

Restaurant 55 on Sukhumvit near Thong Lo

Depends if You're looking for 5 stars restaurant!

55 is standard Thai food but excellent at a good price also!

If You're looking for a high class restaurant, 55 is not!

What kind of thing are you looking for? The best food is to be found on the street in my opinion.

For a truly delicious but expensive meal, Celadon at Sukhothai Hotel in South Sathorn is always reliable but I'm more of a street food girl so as good as most restaurant food is, I would still rather eat at the back alley of Suk Soi 2 any day and night. :o

Lai Thong on Suk Soi 22 isn't too bad either. Once again, I don't think it's worth paying 250baht for a plate of Pad Ka Prao when I can get an equally yummy one for 50baht on the streets. My mom on the other hand, is easily grossed out by the roaches and rats that choose to dine with us when we eat on the Soi 2 so she's really the only reason why I even step into MK. =p

What's your budget or preferred price range like?

Food station under the big tree in the middle of Suan Lum night market - cheap (tho' not as cheap as the streets) and clean - good food too and I love the atmos!

'chiliwasabi',

Ya gottit there man.

I totally agree as I said in earlier post.

If yer coming /going thru Suvarnabhumi, ya oughta check out .....

......The Magic Food Point......

Near the Gate 8, where ya get da taxis , buses etc. Ground floor.

First place I go after buying a paper on arrival in BKK.

Ban Khun Mae in Siam Square has very tasty, easy to eat Thai food, especially so if your a new arrival and cant stomach fully authentic dishes yet!
