I have never heard of just buying "rigid fibreglass"....usually fibreglass is made into some product...so usually you would buy a rigid fibreglass something.

Ok. Rigid fibreglass panels for sound proofing.

I think I've got it!

You mean rockwool batts.....do you?

No silly you!

rockwool batts - come in a roll

rigid fiberglass panels - with reflective sheeting(alunimum?) on one or both sides, comes in a 4 ft X 8 ft, or 2 ft x 8 ft panel and in several thickness (1-3" thick is commonly sold in the store). Pink, white, or yellow are the most common colors.

I have them in my US house, but havn't been looking for them in thailand so don't know where you can get them.

A batt is a stiff panel as you describe. It's what they put between the inner and outer layer of masonry on a house.

I have always heard the term "fiberglass batt" to refer to a blanket made of fluffy fibreglass much like cotton candy.....google has some insight.
