็Hi guys,

My non-o got an extension of stay because of a work permit. If I resign

that means I will have 7 days to leave the country.

Will the embassy/consulate issue me a 'multiple entry' non-o if I go out

of the country and apply with a valid work permit?

This way, I wont get a tourist visa and do border runs for some time if

in case I resign (after obtaining the multiple entry) and remain out of work.

Cheers

You will only get a visa issued on the validity of the work permit…if only 2 months left on WP then visa will be 2 months etc

Also remember that a WP must be returned to the Labor dept max 7 days after you leave the job to be cancelled, if late they will ask for you passport…you can guess why

You will not obtain a non immigrant O visa on the basis of a work permit. You will not obtain a non immigrant B visa with only a work permit (complete company paperwork would also have to be provided).
