Missing Dog,

Its been 4 days now since our dog was taken.

She is an 8 month old cocker spaniel going by the name of Julie,

She is extremely shy when around people she doesn't know.

One flaw that she has which anyone would notice at a glance is her hind legs, This is a birth defect which limits a lot of what she can do but she doesn't let it stop her.

When she Runs her hind legs try and pass her out, if you see her running from behind its like your looking at a kangaroo the way she bounces.

Her brother is missing her so much, She was his shadow - the two of them were best of friends and since Julie was TAKEN he's not been the same.

I know this is a long shot but please if anyone lays eyes on her then please please call us on 077248499 or post on TV.

She was taken from our house in Plai Laem

I only wish I had some better photos of her but unfortunately I don’t,

Thank you.

The fotos are enough to help identify her and we are in Samui for the next week so will be watching for her, such a pretty dog; we are so sorry for you but hope she turns up;

how do you reckon she was "Taken " and didn't just go walkies and get lost?

Make usre you put posters up around the area, local 7/11 and shops along with some strategic lamp posts / trees. Put on the poster lots of $$$ signs and state a reward is available(no need to put amount). I got mine back this way, he was gone for about a week so don't give up hope yet.

I have 2 the same as you brother and sister cockers, and we have to keep an eye on them now

but luckily they don't stray too far from the house.

Some people don't give a sh*t about peoples feelings and just about $$ they are going to make.

I Hope she is returned safely.

Day 5 & Still no sign of her,

The thing is - Julie Never strayed far, and if she ever did go through the front gate it was because she was beside her brother. They would just go out, Look up and down the road and come back in.

We live in a very privet area with no real traffic so to speak, only traffic would be other home owners and the people that work in their houses.

One of our neighbors had people installing new electric gates for the last 3 weeks or so and I have this sick feeling that these people took Julie.

The person that owns that house is not on the island right now so I'm finding it hard to locate where these people were from

Her brother just isn't the same dog since.

Julie is so unique ( with her hind legs I mean ) that I feel its only a matter of time before someone spots her and we bring her home were she belongs

Dam that makes me angry.

Dont people understand that the dog they stole is probably fretting, same with the one left behind.

And most owners love their dogs as much as their own family.

Its like stealing your child.

Now heres a reason to realy put your fist somewhere.

Heres a job for a Pet Detective Specialist.

You need to find out who the company is that installed these electric gates, I think there is only one guy on the island who does it.

You need to find the boss and give him the photo stating the reward, give them 5,000 or 10,000 baht, tell this boss that you think your dog got out and one of his men must have thought he was a lost dog and took him, tell him to give the photo stating the reward amount on it to his guys.

Also have you put the dogs photo and reward outside all the 7/11 etc etc.

I have printed your photos and will give to my staff and neighbours, if she has been stolen then she could be anywhere on the island, need to chase up the gate man first i think.

Hope you find her, looks like a lovely dog.

Hope this helps. Although I'm sure there is in fact more than one electric gate installing company in Samui, the one I know can be contacted by ringing ***. This used to be the nobile number of the boss whose name is Toi. You could check whether it was his team that was working on the gate. Toi is an exceptionally nice and highly educated fellow who lives on the Island. He is very kind to animals and I know he has taken pity on and taken in many unfortunate strays into his household. The one thing I am absolutely sure of is that he would certainly never steal anyone's dog, but of course he is not always there full time while the job is being done by his workers. It might be worth calling him to see if there has been a mix up. His English is great. Kindest man on the planet if approached with politeness.

Still no sign of her,

The problem I have at the moment is I’m not on the Island.

SBK I’ve forwarded that number you gave to a Thai friend of mine and he will make the call today, hopefully this will give us at lead as to who the company was that installed the gates – I really do feel they have something to do with the disappearance.

I remember one day coming out of my house and seeing one of the workers kids playing with the dogs ( which was great too see at the time) so as soon as I get back I will search for these people. I will also put up the Photos and Rewards around Every 7/11 in the area.

I’m not giving up Just yet!

I'm a sucker for a missing dog story :o

boldt, have you tried suggestions for flyers and a reward?

I did see a spaniel very similar to the one you've lost being walked by a farang near big buddah

two days ago.But was driving so I couldnt be sure its the same one.

Worth getting some flyers up around that area just in case someone recognises it.

Between Big buddah and seven 11

Good luck

There is a Guy across the road from BBC who has a cockerspaniel same age by the looks, so that could have been him.

but then again, i never seen him walking it now that i think about it so it might not be him.

But anyway my staff are around that area looking out daily

Neighbourhood/Community needs to stay vigilant. You really wouldn't like to live next to neighbour that snatches or hires a hand to snatch someones loved one/s like in this two puppies case. I wonder is it farangs or locals that do this?

I had a tourist walk off with my kitten once. I lived near a road and he saw the kitten near our house, decided, despite the collar and that it was near a house, that it was homeless, picked it up and walked off with it. A neighbor reported it to us when we came home shortly thereafter, my husband went after him on the motorbike and got our kitten back. When asked why he took it, he said, "Oh, I didn't think it belonged to anybody" :o

Takes all kinds I guess, and some people don't think past their own wants and needs.
