The terms are synonymous.

The former is an english description, the latter the Pali name.

Might be worth noting that in Thai Tripitaka is usually pronounced Try Pitok

Pali: Tipitaka

Sanskrit: Tripitaka

Thai: Phra Traipitok (พระไตรปิฏก)

The 423 verses of the Dhammapada come from the Khuddaka Nikaya, in the Sutta Pitaka third of the Tipitaka. Around a hundred of the verses can also be found in other suttas.
