Any Advise For Kidney Transplant Patient And Diabetic?

hi

i had a kidney transplant 11 years ago also long time diabetic { using insulin pump }.

i'd like any advice, hints. clues anyone wants to give me { except stay away :o }

i have gathered from reading here the diabetic supplies should be no problem getting. its the handful of meds i take for the transplant i wonder about since they are pretty specialized.

if i can not get them there is there a problem having them shipped from the states by parents or friends? im sure the cost would be outrageous but it is what it is.

i plan on being in los for 6 - 12 months so stocking enough in my bags wont work. i'll bring about 3 months worth with me and all dr.s notes scripts etc...

anything that anyone can tell is much appreciated.

thanks

it was suggested that i add the meds i take to see if anyone has experience with them and see if anyone has bought them otc or hospital.

here is the list. from reading other posts i'm guess some will be easy to get because they are used for different things.

cellcept

prograf

prednisone

gabapentin/neurton

calcitrol

vytrorin

sodium bicabonate [ a antacid ]

plavix

baby asprin

humalog [ or the other 2 short acting ] insulin

sets cartridges for insulin pump.

the closest pump supplier for the pump i use is hong kong i will be contacting them shortly.

thank you again for your time

I would Contact Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok prior to coming to Thailand and see if they will stock these medications or have in stock these medications or may offer an alternative to some that they may or may not have or be able to get...
