putdk Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 (edited) Hey just to inform in here, Im in Penang now and just get my passport back today Tuesday. I was getting a Non - O - 1 Year with entry M (Multi Entry)...... i was very lucky my agent told me. Im a Danish citizen, under 50 year old. I have a Thai/Danish son with my Thai girl friend (nerver married). and my Thai bank book is under 200.000 Baht. with the statement i gave him and no job. I hear many in her say you have to show more than 800.000 Baht. in your Thai account if not married. or if married you have to show 400.000 Baht. in your Thai account for the last 3 months. I was showing this to get the 1 year MULTI entry NON - O - VISA: 1. my passport from Denmark + 2 x photo 4x6 2. copy of my girlfriends, ID card and her passport. 3. copy of my thai/danish sons birth caertificate and copy his passport (thai). he has all my names inside his birth certificate and his passport (thai). 4. copy of Tabian Baan our house registration and this has also my sons name in this. 5. copy of last 2 months statement from my Thai account. 6. no company or job in Thailand. or showing some income from above. Price for 1 year Multi Entry is in my passport (VISA) showing the price at 550 RM. + my agents fee. My agent also told me if you NOT get the 1 year, so they will give you 3 months not matter what. so we try apply for the 1 year with Multi entry first. An that was what i was getting down here, have a nice day in this great forum Edited February 19, 2008 by putdk
lopburi3 Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 You have misunderstood. The 800k is Singapore specific for those over age 50 (retirement) and 400k for those married to a Thai. Only Singapore has this requirement for issue of multi entry non immigrant O visas. There is no requirement the funds be in account three months (this is an immigration specific requirement for extensions of stay inside Thailand).
Spartacus Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Thanks for the update on Penang, I think the key to Penang is to have a child to support. I have not read about anyone supporting a child being refused, if they could show sufficient funds, of cause sufficient funds is a guess/estimate, but not less than 10.000 which would also be the TV requirement, but just an observation based on previous posts New consular supposedly a familar man himself, congratulations with the visa
