Hi all,

Today picked up my new ride.

BMW 330 (2004) with sport package and M3 styling. 18 Inch wheels.

This car is freaking awesome!!!!

A total new experience in driving, I am telling ya!

When pushing the pedal to the metal it just not stops to accelerate, sick!

Everytime I do a 100 meter sprint there is one big smile on my face.

The sound of the engine, the G force what can I say.

It is better then sex, ha ha ha .

Will post some pics tommorow.

I feel so happy!

Hi AlexLah

Hope you dont soil the nice reccaro's.

Great car, had one in the UK rolling up to 158mph.

Please, please watch the back end in rainy season/conditions, it can be lethal (& fun)

Enjoy those 160+ mk runs on the straights, and thrilling mountain road curves!

Mine is 11 years older, but still fun.

But the depresser is that I have to upgrade my fuel system for ethanol or convert to LPG. The days are numbered for 100% 95 octane benzine.

I know that ethanol presents a power and fuel efficiency downgrade, but yesterday someone said that LPG would bring 15% less power too. I hope they were wrong about that, since the engine was really designed for 97 octane.

I'll always miss the tight cornering, super-tight u-turns, etc., but I really wish I could get a decent hybrid! :o

I picked up my new 2007 S-Class Mercedes recently, light bronze and i also installed it with custom CNC-milled rims. I felt like driving in a diamond-encrusted tank. Totally awesome. Other motorists kept gawking and staring at me and it felt great.

Then sadly I woke up...

Funny that everyone had Big BMW'S, Mercs, Audi's when they still lived back in Europe or the states, and now most drive a Jazz, City, Fortuner, Vigo, Isuzu.

This is true, but the Car Prices in Thailand are incredibly expensive for those models, I'd like an X5 BMW in Thailand, but have to make do with a Fortuner.

The top X5 8,600,000 Baht. :o

The Fortuner was 1,247,000 Baht.

7,353,000 Baht is a lot of money. :D

Back in My hometown I had a 318 IS coupe and indeed great fun during rainy season drifting through corners.

Do you still remember what all the buttons on the steering wheel are for?

I have the manual but it is all in Thai.....

Will post a piccie of them laters.

nice ride indeed!!

A friend of mine buys 2nd hand BMWs from Singapore and sells them to dealers in NZ.

The prices he picks them up for would be about a 1/5 of what you paid.

But I guess thats part of the deal for living here.

One fifth I find that a bit hard to believe.

Can you show some examples?

Anyway I am happy

I am delighted that you are so happy. And especially with your new car ...new to you!

It is a refreshing change to read a topic that is about positive feelings.

Of late in my local forum its all doom and gloom, complaints about this and that not much happiness around I'm sad to say.

Thank you very much. You have cheared me up no end.

No Problem,

It is so easy to look at the negative side of life.

But me always look at the positive side.

I mean I am healthy and feeling good.

Just helped the local lottery lady and buy a ticket.

Helped one of my people to achieve their objectives.

Gave a few Bath to a homeless person.

Buy a silly keyhanger from a girl on the street.

Gave another beggar a 25 Bath meal.

Gave my friend a big hug!

It is so easy to have a happy feeling.

Please all, spread happiness around the world.

Thank you Begs for pointing out!

BMW. Is that a push-cart, ie does it have rear-wheel drive?

Yes the 2004 BMW 330 is RWD. I just can't see owning one in Thailand except to put in a glass display to show to you're mates. I certainly wouldn't take it out on the roads, unless it was a rental. I wouldn't want it to get bent.
