Anyone had this happen? During my annoyingly frequent urinations

during the night,my "unit" is decidedly bent in one direction or the other

OR it is straight, but the urine stream is crooked.

Prostate problems ahead?

any advice appreciated,

Mel

BTW,I'm 47,in good shape,drink some,don't smoke

and drink plenty of clean water every day

My urine shoots to one side more than the other... only if my "unit" is hard and "erect" at the time of urination.

At all other normal times, it shoots straight.

Is this normal? :o

Grow up Peyrone's is a serious medical condition not an excuse for a string dick jokes.

I'm not joking. It's true.

The closest explanation I got (via google) was that when a penis is erect, a different tube (coming from the testicles) is what is connected to the penis opening; and than when a penis is not erect, a tube coming from the kidneys is what is connected to the penile opening. I therefore theorize that if I take a piss when "unit" is erect, there's a mismatch of tubes... which causes the 'crooked' jet of urine.

Never confirmed it with a doctor though.

If you are actually serious about your urine stream. Don't worry about it. If you actually had the anatomical defect that you "Googled" you would be having much worse problems than your stream changing direction. If you were having a problem with a weak stream and straining on urination, that would need to be checked out. What you are "theorizing" sounds like a load of <deleted>. The anatomy and physiology of the male genitalia having the defect, as you have described, would have been diagnosed by a pediatrician. It would have never gotten to the point where an adult would have this looked over by their physician unless they had no access to medical care. Your kidneys are connected directly to the bladder via the ureters, and then the bladder empties through the urethra. The only time that the vas deferens is open to the urethra is shortly before the male orgasm occurs. At all other times a series of sphincter muscles keep the flow of urine going from the bladder out through the urethra. Whether the penis is erect has no bearing on the travel of urine out of the body.

This is way off topic

[saying to self] I will not feed trolls, I will not feed trolls, I will not feed trolls, I will not feed trolls, I will not feed trolls....

To the OP if you are having pain on erection, feel legions on you penis, or pain during intercourse then you need to see a urologist. Peyrone's Disease is progressive if it is not treated. If you have none of those symptoms just a change in the shape of your penis intermittently, don't worry about it. Every man is equipped with uniquely shaped and sized penises.

Now as for your frequent urination, it's time to man up, as it were, and get a prostate examination. Especially since you are over 40, you should be having it checked on an annual basis. And please ignore the other nonsense posted earlier.

Besides the "crooked" aspect you also mention frequent urination at night which, while it can have a number of causes, is a classic symtpom of enlarged prostate. As gunnyd said, see a urologist. You need a manual prostate exam and PSA done.

Thanks Gunny and Sheryl !

I guess I should add that during the day, urination

is quite normal, and that during sex, everything quite normal,

it is only during night time urination that these sometimes crooked

things happen. Also,I've noticed in the last year or so,that during

urination, the skin on the shaft when squeezed seems sort of mushy?

maybe it's just me getting older...not sure.

Mel
