Recomendations Please

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have had to leave my annual holiday to the LOS and Pattaya a bit later this year, due to Terminal 5 at Heathrow opening up

So I'm after a few recomendations for hotels (from real people who have either stayed or visited)

Usual thing, comfy bed, decent pool, decent food (or decent grub nearby) breakfast if possible, (usual decent buffet if possible)

I'll have the wife in tow (not a thai, but a scouse, so its got to be fairly decent AND CLEAN :o

(any thing happening with a BBQ at tropical berts this year ? or a TV piss up ? or anywhere you meet up for a drink or 2 ?)

Hoping to be there about the end of April, so any recommendations appreciated :D

The Lek Hotel on 2nd Road might be what you're looking for. Nice buffet breakfast. e-mail: [email protected]

Price is around B1200

that reminds me, I must get some locking wheel nuts :o

Try Pattaya Bay Resort Soi 15, 2nd road, next door to Mercure Hotel - close to everything. Swimming pool on the roof - 8th floor. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food good.

Does anyone know what the Sunshine serviced apartments are REALLY like ?

They have offered 17 nights for 17 nightrs stay

Is the place clean ?

Whats the grub like ?

They say breakfast is included :o

I used to be a regular at the Dynasty Inn on Soi 13, just off 2nd road. Clean rooms, pool is decent (rooftop) and good walking distance for anything and easy access to baht bus routes. Their breakfast menu was lame but the other stuff was decent. Just across the soi from the aforementioned Lek hotel breakfast buffet.

IMHO if you have 17 days in town, you will tire of any 'free' breakfast at the same venue and 17 days will allow you to sample other breakfast opportunities and mix it up a bit. Finding a good breakfast in Pattaya is easy.

NanLaew, you're probably correct about 17 breakfasts in the same place, but its handy to know its there, we tried Gregs place a couple of times and even the Montien, but as you say, it does get a shade boring

At the moment its a toss up between the Pattaya Bay Resort and Sunshine serviced apartments (just hoping someone can give a bit of info on the place) :o
