Hiv

Featured Replies

I know HIV can be transmitted blood to blood. I was wondering, say for example, if a restaurant worker had HIV, cut himself and some blood got in the food that someone ate, could it be transmitted that way? Food is absorbed into the bloodstreem, so it sounds quite possible. I suppose the same is possible for hepatitis and other diseases.

that answer would be 'no'

and no for Hep B and C

possibly for Hep A

You should not be concerned about HIV. Technically one could feel safe about not contracting HIV from standing in a room with a person with HIV, but I would not feel safe regarding contracting TB

An alarming amount of people with HIV have active TB & can transmit that on to you.

Google TB and HIV

To my knowledge HIV cannot be transmitted in the manner you are speaking of, be safe other wise and don't worry. :o:D:D
