The future Mrs Razz is concerned about her ability to conceive :D

She's told me she saw a specialist before and he told her she only had a 30% chance.

This was a while ago and I'd like some advice on where she could go for a second opinion/some advice on the options and likely cost. And not being an expert on such thing's I don't really understand why? :o

She's 31 and as far as we're aware in good health.

Many thanks :D

Since you say that she is future not current Mrs, I am assuming you either haven't tried to conceive yet or have done so for not long.

Was she told she had only a 30% chance just because of her age, or because of a specific condition such as endometriosis?

If only on grounds of age, try naturally for a year or two before you turn to infertility treatments -- they are very expensive, even at government hspitals(due tothe cost of the meds, which are imported patents, unless this has changed in recent years).

If due to a specific problem, same advice but maybe just give it a year.

If you do wind up going the fertility treatment route, the least costly (alto still costly) is through a gverment hospital and Chulalonghorn is the best in this regard, has a dedicated infertility clinic.

Good luck and tell her to relax as tension can make it harder to conceive.

Sheryl, thanks for your kind words...But at the moment we're still at the practising stage :D

Can you suggest anywhere for a "check-up"? I think I/we need a clearer idea of what her "problem" may be.

Her older (and bossy cousin) has already mentioned it to me infront of her, "Do you love her, you know she can't have babies???" :o

I think as thing's are serious between us, she want's to make sure I won't "do the off" if she can't conceive.

Razz,

All the big international hospitals n Bangkok have western-trained infertility specialists. My persona preference is for Samitivej, try one of these 3 docs:

http://www.samitivej.co.th/samitivej_front...20650&Img=1

It will save time and money if she can get her records from whatever doctor/hospital treated her in the past.

Please let us know what you think of whaever dctor you end up seeinga s this info can be useful for others in the future.
