Featured Replies

Anyone know where I can purchase some rigid fibreglass in Pattaya?I looked in Carefour home pro but couldnt seem to find any!!

What are you trying to do with the fibreglass?

Build a fence?

Repair a boat?

Some more information will get useful replies.

No Im constructing bass traps for my studio - they will be easier to build than order off the net - (and cheaper) I need rigid fibreglass or rock wool because this material is good at absorbing the excess low frequency bass waves generated in the corners of the room...I think Ill have another look down carefour just to make sure...

It might be best to ask a Mod to change the title to "Building a Studio, need sound baffles" or something like that. That will attract the folk who understand what you want.

You can alert a mod by using the report button at the bottom of any post in the thread if you don't know a mod to PM.

Please correct me if I have misunderstood, I think you need fibre glass matting and the two part 'glue' binding agent. There are a number of boat yards and suppliers around Pattaya that must stock small amounts suitable for your use. Take a trip along The Suk past Na Jomtien there are a few larger yards working on GRP boats including a farang company (Itailian I believe).

well yeah that is all very well but I specifically need rigid fibre glass or rock wool thats why the title was so specific - and no no other material will do ....these materials are most efficient at absorbing low end freq qaves that build up in a room.. so its quite simple I need rigid fibreglass or rockwool if anyone knows where to get some reply here

Try a boat builder I know, called Bakri Cono. They are a South African company, very good, small to medium sized with a workshop at Sattahip. They do all sorts of fibreglass products, not just boats.. they may be able to help you.

www.bakricono.com The general manager is called Berne, give him a call: 038 23 5168

I do think the tone of your last message is less than gratetful considering the help that the other posters and I have offered you given the limited information that you have offered.

Rockwool (and Glasswool) is made * in Thailand - suggest you look at some builders supply warehouse.
